Me too, it was a brilliant tip, I should be getting £40 from British gas.0

How does you apply? Ring up the normal BG Customer Service line?0

I'm a BG customer with dual fuel so when I read this thread on 12th January I called British Gas and told them I was receiving CTC and WTC with an income under £14,600. I was told that I had missed the December deadline but would still qualify to receive a £30 discount in 2 instalments of £20 and £10. When I asked why I could not claim the first £30 I was told that the computer could not physically deal with a belated claim. I asked why I hadn't received any information directly from BG, to be told it would be too expensive to do so but that the scheme had been advertised on national television. I then wrote a letter querying the logic in this and pointed out that BG seemed keen to let the general public know of the scheme but not its own customers.
This morning at 08:15 (a bit early, I thought) a lady from BG called me in reply to my letter, saying that I was mis-led as the discount was for pensioners only and asked where I had received the information. I told her it was on a consumer website and confirmed by the gentleman I spoke to at the call centre. She then said sorry for calling so early and that she would put a form in the post.
Now very puzzled . . . I'll wait for the form and take it from there. Has anyone else on CTC and WTC received a discount?0 -
I called and applied for this(just gas) and was told i would get some forms to sign which never arrived and was also told that i would get the first £20 end of January and the other £20 sometime end of April i think. Now i never got the forms and haven't recieved the payment in the form of a cheque yet. They can't pay me any other way as i'm on a pre-payment meter so is anyone else still waiting?Darren0

I was told I'd receive a cheque at the end of January, and I haven't heard anything either. My gas bill is due next week, so I'll find out then.
