Just moved £1,900 from Halifax to A&L and it all went by faster payments.

I did split it into 3 x £500 and 1 x £400, but it arrived instantly.

Not sure if a single payment would have gone instantly, but at least this is a good sign the rules are being 'relaxed'?

5/2/09 - I did 3x500 to Tesco from Halifax and it refused the 4th. Perhaps the limit is <2000 so 1999 may work. Also, next day I sent another 500,10,499 and that worked as well. Hence I think the current Halifax FP limit may well be <2000/day. Better than it was but yet the FP itself limit of 10k any number of times per day (if you have the sort of money of course ).

I've been trying for the last 2 days to create a FP from Halifax to Natwest but it's always rejected - even for just £1. It's frustrating the hell out of me as I wanted the cash moved before the bank holiday!

Anyone else having problems?

My 3 standing orders went out (by FP) but the one I can view online at the other end (at NatWest) wasn't showing first thing and still isn't.

My FPs into Halifax Today (from NatWest, First Direct and Lloyds via telephone) have all 'left' but none have arrived. The man at LTSB seemed to have notification that all payments via FPS would be balanced but at an 'unpspecified' time. One assumes this is Halifax's connection to the system which has jammed. Being 1st of the the month there will be more than usual numbers of payments going through....

Milarky, check your Halifax account again. My faster payment from Tesco/RBS has just appeared after a 10 hour delay.

Two transfers I made into Halifax early this morning are still missing. I phoned Halifax and they said they're aware of the problem, they thought at first it was just payments out, but now realise it's affecting payments in too.

I am confused.

My Standing order to Barclays Monthly Saving have not arrived yet (it always been quick) and my Faster Payment to Barclays Current Account few hours ago have not generated Faster Payment Confirmation email, straight away. Or does it happened IF the money go out or just when you finished the Transfer payment?

And no, I can't just ring them up either.
