Hey guys - this isn't really a hamper request as I'm not making it in to one, more ideas on a theme.
Have got a heatable polar bear that you put in the microwave, and a polar bear moneybox. What else could I get on that theme? Was thinking white fluffy hot water bottle, hot chocolate etc and make a winter warmer themed gift?My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

I'm doing a couple of winter warmer/cozy christmas hampers. Mine include: xmas mug, hot choc, candy canes (to stir in hot choc & give it a hint of mint), hot water bottle, scarf, hand warmers (some cheap ones in Dunelm), fleece blanket (again, nice xmas ones in Dunelm for £3.99), gloves, warming face mask, heated socks (M&S outlet). Hope that helps.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Definitely some nice warm socks! I have seen some cadbury's chocolates that look like a winter version of mini eggs, think they might be called snowballs or something, they would be cute in it. Have you seen the snowman soup ideas on the crafting for Christmas 2009 thread? You could get a wintery mug and make up one of those to put into itGod is good, all the time

Yep, just saw the snowballs in Tesco on my lunch break, they would work. Made snowman soup for everyone in the office last year so can't do that again. Think I might hunt out a polar bear mug and put some hot choc in with it.My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Oooh thanks, if got one reasonably near, will pop in at the weekend. I'm hoping to be totally finished by the end of Novemeber so I'll get the pics up then. Can't promise that they'll look good but its the thought that counts right...? :rotfl:
Byres Roads is in Glasgow isn't it? I think thats even further away than Edinburgh. Might be a good excuse for a shopping trip though. Will need to convince my darling daddy to drive though because I hate driving in city centres and I can't get on buses with a pram (I am useless at putting it down in a hurry and by myself!)0 -
This is the first time I have made hampers, being jealous of all your wonderful efforts and was just wondering if someone would tell me what they think of the ones I have made, they are only small and for friends, but do they look ok, or is there anything else you could suggest for me to add?
I apologise for the picture quality, and gratefully appreciate any feedback whatsoever.
Thank you Laura

I would agree, I got packs of 3 bath scrunchies in different colours in Poundland. I also used individual soaps and small yankee candles as fillers.
Your baskets look lovely and I like the colours.0 -
