I'm thinking along the theme of TEA
Why not add nearer the time some scones, clotted cream and small pots of jam for a cream tea? Some nice biscuits..
Tea spoons, you can never have enough. Tea leaves and a strainer?
A friend of mines parents celebrated their silver wedding anniversary a couple of months ago and she did a book with a page for every year of their anniversary. Each page she put the date and year, a photograph or two when she couldn't get them both together and a small sentence about something they did, somewhere they went or something memorable that happened that year. It took her a while, she had to speak to friends and family and there was a year she got wrong, but the thought and the finished result was brilliant. They had a little get together and she presented it at the party it was lovely! Maybe you could write 22 things that they have done in the 22 years they have been together?0 -
Hi JaneLiz, I would be thrilled to receive something like that from my kids.
How about making a tealoaf. I don't know if you are living at home, but maybe you could go to a friends or relatives so that they wouldn't know what you were up to.
The scones, clotted cream etc. is also a really good idea.
If you wanted to keep the idea of hot drinks going, you could try different types of hot chocholate and some marshmallows for that.Second purse £101/100

Not sure if this is the right place for this but here goes
I'm doing a gardening hamper for ex foster girl (birthdays in March so no real rush) I want to include some lolly sticks as plant sticks but with a motif on the top like a daisy but it would have to be wooden or mdf. Where might I get these from (thinking cardmaking/scrapbooking sites) ? I've googled variations of what I want and not had much luck
Mary,
I saw coloured ones in a big pack in Woolies in their sale. Can't remember how much. Were with all the crafty stuff.

I'm sure I saw this type of mug in Home Bargains. The first time I saw them was when I worked in the cafe in M&S last year and we were giving them away when you spend X amount. I thought they were a fab idea.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Hi all, not sure if it's already been posted - but I popped into my local asda store this morning (wisbech) and they were selling off lovely packets of tissue paper - silver with silver sticky parcel sealers and red with gold sticker seals for 25p a packet (was 98p). I paid £1.20 per pack for tissue in a cheapy shop near me before christmas. They were also selling off packs of mini foil crackers for 50p (was £2). Also grabbed foil wrap 4m roll 50p (red, gold and silver was £2) packs of nice foil gift tags 25p (was £1.00) And a pack of ribbon and bows with tags at 50p instead of £2.00.
Have stashed away for next christmas. Managed to buy some lovely half price gift sets in Boots to stash away for next years hampers and shall definatly keep an eye for hampery (!?) things throughout the year.
Thank you to everyone on this thread for all your ideas, enthusiasm and time.
Wishing you all a Happy New Year
Aggie
