Not sure if this is the right place for this but here goes

I'm doing a gardening hamper for ex foster girl (birthdays in March so no real rush) I want to include some lolly sticks as plant sticks but with a motif on the top like a daisy but it would have to be wooden or mdf. Where might I get these from (thinking cardmaking/scrapbooking sites) ? I've googled variations of what I want and not had much luck:confused:

Hi Mary - you can buy lolly sticks separately either plain or in different colours. I think though for the motif you would probably need to buy wooden motifs - hobby craft do sell the motif type bits. I think it would work out quite expensive though. Garden transfer stickers might be cheaper...

I haven't seen what you are looking for ready made in the shops but I hope you find some...

savingholmes - thanks. I thought I'd paint the lolly sticks then stick a wooden or mdf flat flower at the top.
I got some wooden/mdf flowers for grandaughters door hanger but don't think they'll look right

Thanks. Trouble is our chip shop chips aren't that brilliant -OH always does his own. It's the daisy to stick on them I'm stuck with. I'l try our craft shop tomorrow see if she's got any wooden type bits in.

Mary to make the flower how about getting some colourd foam and cut out the pieces needed to make each flower.

It would be water proof but not sure about weather proof.

Thanks for that idea. If I can't get wood or mdf ones Imight have a go at foam.........its just for an added novelty bit to ex foster girls gardening basket so not the end of the world if they don't last.

It depends on the type of foam you get I think, they should last though. Maybe attach the middle bit with a split pin.
