    Hampers and shoe boxes full of 'bits' went down very well - just need to make list of who had what so I don't give the same again of the stuff I 'created'.
    Thanks for the inspiration - this was my first year doing them and was a lot of fun:T

    16kymnb.jpg

    Contents:
    Basket - 99p from the 99p shop
    1 pack of Cheddars - these were in a pack of 2 - 99p from the 99 shop
    1 pack of Jacobs Crackers - Also apart of a pack of 2 - 99p from the 99p shop.
    2 Chutneys - 39p each from B&M Store = 78p
    Cheese board, cheese knife & 3 cheeses = £4.99 from the B&M Store.
    Total = £8.74

    I hope I've worked that out correct. This was my first attemp of making a basket/hamper and although I was pleased with my end product. I was worried my Aunty & Uncle would hate it. However I had a phonecall Christmas morning from them thanking me for it. They were really appreciative saying that they loved it :)

    I'm now thinking of ideas for my other aunty's 50th birthday and my friends 21st.

    Hi everyone. The hampers went down a treat. My MIL was moved to tears and was telling everyone how impressed she was. Traditionally nothing I did was good enough so to do well 2 in a row (her birthday and now this) was a major achievement. Even OH who was very doubtful liked his hamper in the end - I even managed to choose a book that he read until 4am...

  • I've just sat here and thought "wonder when the Easter stuff will get in the shops" cos the hampers I gave at Christmas were so well received...
    Even my sister the Queen-of-present-exchanges, loved hers (but I did catch her taking a crafty peek to see which shop I bought it in - her face when I told her that I created it :rotfl: )

    Almost hope that she does try and return it somewhere - with the mix of Boots/Wilko's/Asda/Home made goodies it would be great to watch! :D

    My mum was so funny I gave her her mini hamper and asked her jokingly to give back the red metal box that it came in. Sure enough she left it behind but my dad kept his!! I think my family were quite amused! Did a choccy hamper, a sexy hamper and marmite/cat/book one and gardening/hobbies one also a fab drinks party one. There are still loads of ideas that I haven't used up so will do some for next year I'm sure!!

    Thanks for thr continued ideas/inspiration xxx
