Think places like www.24studio.co.uk do personalised sports towels?

Ordered some lovely cellophane and cello bags from ebay with the voucher they sent me and was hoping they'd arrive today. sure enough they tried to deliver them but left a crad saying that since they'd tried to deliver them before (not possible!) then I'd have to collect them from my "local" office-which is a three hour bus-walk-train-walk-bus-walk-return journey which will cost me £8 to do!!!!

but to see the funny side, they have an option to leave a message for customer services to call you back and I was so angry I left my message...but not my number-had to ring back and leave another messge with my number on :rotfl: :o

Sooooooo mad though-there are 70 houses on this street that they could have left the parcel at (that's another option on the helpful card they left me  ) but clearly they just knocked and ran and thought they'd let me worry about how to get the d*mn thing back!!!

    Rant over :o

I gave various family members hampers recently and they were delighted and very pleasantly surprised. I had mentioned a hamper and they were expecting scotch eggs and sausage rolls... :rotfl: They got a retro sweet hamper and journal in a jar set etc....

:rotfl: Some people just don't 'get it' do they? :D I feel a bit guilty now because I'd probably have thought the same a year or so ago :o;)

Lovely hampers CT19720, really colourful and still staying on budget :) and ditto junior_j - Your hampers look great too - well done to you both :T

I can't remember who (I should have looked lol) mentioned penguins, but Tesco.com have Cool wonderland Penguin money boxes - Now £2.50
    (Catalogue number: 205-3328) and
Cool wonderland penguin egg cup (Catalogue number: 205-0153) also £2.50

    hth :)

These look taller than what I'd normally use but Tesco (Direct, made a mistake with the penguin post ;)) have 3 x rattan round storage baskets in Dark Natural colour. Catalogue number: 204-5605 reduced from £10 to £5

Go onto their website and you can get it redelivered for a day you will be in (it means you have to stay in all day though :() or you can do a local post office collection, in December it is free (normally only costs 50p) you can do it all on the internet and they will do the hard work of lugging it from the sorting office to the local post office.

Although I am not sure how near your local PO is but might be a bit easier for you??

I've just given out my snowman soup at work and the general consensus when people see the snowman soup is that I bought them from Selfridges – then they can’t believe I made them and assume they’re made from a kit! Wouldn't have made them had it not been for this forum so thank you everyone :)

I've done that before (several times as forever ordering stuff :o) - rearranged a delivery date to my house and that was free to do.

Fantastic hampers and ideas everyone - can't believe how Xmas is creeping up now - 13 sleeps I think!!!

Brookeslay - Wilkos sell chalk, 15p a box I think.

Lilian, well done on the fab snowman soup comments. It's such an easy idea isn't it but the end result looks great and expensive :D
