Jintyb i'm really sorry about your cat - I hope it all goes okay, either way... I remember when my cat was going to be put down after being ran over and it was absolutely terrible. In the end he had his leg taken off but he's still a happy little moggy!
Brookeslay, try amazon used and new, a lot of books sell new or used in very good condition for 99p and then a few £ p&p. Got my dad two novels for his hamper!
I'm trying to track down one of those 'Furreal' electronic pet animals, but they're so expensive. Does anybody know of any cheaper versions?
Right, better get down to some more online shopping... I am coming down with the flu so haven't been able to go shopping for a few days which is so annoying as I urgently need to get down to poundland for some bits and bobs. Was going to attempt Woolies yesterday but apparently my local one was full of nothing but junk so glad I didn't!0 -
Thanks to all who responded...........sorry but puss had to be out to sleep. Its was a tough decision, but the right one for him. Im upset obviously, but he's in a better place and he my Christmas Angel ! Sorry to be off topic, but I know you are all great gals and would understand!
Got all my baskets finished yesterday, but camera is still knackered so no photos!
Have a great weekend all xx
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0 -
Jinty I'm so sorry but as you say, he's in a better place and you won't have to watch him go through anymore pain. And like another poster said, he lived to a ripe old age which is fab for a cat!
Keep yourself distracted and busy and feel free to post on here if you need a bit of a lift! Have a lovely weekend x0 -
Jinty sorry for your loss hunny sending you some hugs. I know when my grans very very old dog got cancer in the brain he had to be put down and it was very hard indeed.

Jintyb-I'm so sorry. My friend's cat had to be put to sleep recently and now his other cat isn't too good either. It must be hard, but you wouldn't want him to suffering. 17 is a good age, though, and I'm sure you have lots of happy memories of him and what he got up to. 12/12/12 challenge-[STRIKE]Season's Greeting Newton's Law[/STRIKE] Christmas polar bear-finished on time!
Thanks to all the girls in the Cross Stitch Cafe! You're all fantastic! :A0 -
All the hampers are looking great, the pictures only thread have some fantastic hampers on there.
Jintyb - Sorry about your cat!
I was at my friends this afternoon, she was making coffee when the bottom of her glass coffee pot shattered sending hot coffee all over the place, and I mean literally everywhere.
We kind of decided not to buy each other anything this year as money is tight for us both, but she has had a pants year so thought i'd do her a hamper but it has to be on the cheap.
So far I have come up with..
A new cafetiere
Wine fund saving egg/money box found in Birthdays
A box of toffifees - her faves
She has loads of coffee/ coffee realted bits due to being a coffee fan, but with no coffee maker as its broke lol hence the cafetiere..
What else could I add?0 -

Thats the last two presents done nowLove is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together0
