All the hampers are looking great, the pictures only thread have some fantastic hampers on there.
Jintyb - Sorry about your cat!
I was at my friends this afternoon, she was making coffee when the bottom of her glass coffee pot shattered sending hot coffee all over the place, and I mean literally everywhere.
We kind of decided not to buy each other anything this year as money is tight for us both, but she has had a pants year so thought i'd do her a hamper but it has to be on the cheap.
So far I have come up with..
A new cafetiere
Wine fund saving egg/money box found in Birthdays
A box of toffifees - her faves
She has loads of coffee/ coffee realted bits due to being a coffee fan, but with no coffee maker as its broke lol hence the cafetiere..
What else could I add?
Could you leave it til christmas eve and then get some fresh cream, some chockies to go with it and maybe a nice coaster? or cup and saucer? or even a big cup?Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Morning all
A very quick post as I seem to be surrounded by hampers
Off Topic
Firstly, sorry to hear about your cat jinty. We had to make the same decision a few days ago with one of our dogs, so I know it's not a very nice thing to have to doxx

If any of you have a Woolworths near you, and it has anything left on the shelves, keep an eye out for the Mother's Day Teddy Bears. They have the usual heart stitched to them saying "I Love Mum" (which is easily detachable as it's only held on by three stitches) but there's no reason that they can't be used for Christmas.
I think people might have been walking by these as they were priced at £9.99 and then had 20% off (I think?) but they were going through the tills at £1.60
They also had the Festive Friends Hugable Hot Pack, (the sort where the inside pops into the microwave) which is like a bird (?) but has a carrot type nose and Santa hat. Not sure what it was originally, but it went through the till at £1.40

Well I took all your advice and have done my first baskets for all the family. I bought lovely wicker cotton lined baskets at Poundland and have just enjoyed filling them with things I know each 1 of them will enjoy. I'm afraid I haven't loaded photos or even priced them out as I have just chosen what I though was right and was on offer. I know it has worked out cheaper than buying ready made. I even made the reindeers.
Thank you all so much - I've enjoyed the challenge!0 -

In the basket you mean? Teapigs.co.uk do sample tins of tea with 3 teabags per tin of that particular flavour. - i got my Dad a selection of 9 different tins, so he can try new flavours (he is quite adventurous with tea!)
If you meant in the red box of choc - its all the different dark choc that thorntons do=====================================
