You should have said and I could help with some explaining - please shout if you need some help ;)

Thanks rainmac :) I'm so far behind I'll be asking around Easter if that's ok? ;)

Made a couple of small hampers up earlier (not sure who they're even for yet lol, but here goes)

    Contents:

    1 x box - 80p
    1 x No7 Nail Set - £3 (ish) was £15
    1 x Ruby & Millie Buffer - free (wys £5)
1 x Candle and tealight - about 10p (to fill the gap up ;))

    Unwrapped:

Not sure why I'm posting 3 x pics  :rotfl:

Had some Natural Collection bits and bobs left, so made this up:

I think this cost about between £5 and £6 (had to ask a Bootsing friend :)) and not sure what's going on with the reindeer soaps, but they're looking less like reindeers each time I make one :rotfl: Just need to add a bow and a gift tag.

Passion8 .......ha, ha ! I know, I hate breaking things, so flippin annoying! I knew someone on here would understand! Boo hoo, anyway Im off to Poundies to replace them! (Any excuse) Forgot to mention my other bargain in ASDA, a Pink Gift Set ( bashed box) reduced from £ 10 to £ 4.50 - contains full bottle of pink cava two pink champagne flutes with fluffy feathers round and two pink straws. Will repackage with some bits and bobs for DIL Xmas, very girly!

Someone had to see the funny side jinty ;) Good find re the Pink Gift set btw. I can't stress enough that battered boxes don't mean much, as 9 times out of 10 the contents are absolutely fine (and most of us don't use the original packaging anyway), so well done you :)

Hi I have been following this thread and the photos only one too, and have been well impressed and will be next year making hampers for family and friends..

I have mentioned the subject to two of my friends and they have snubbed the idea, which has annoyed me as I sent them links on the discussions and the finished photos..

I know my parents will be ok with them, but do I do my friends one or not, has anybody else has the hamper idea thrown back at them in disgust..

For what it's worth I don't think I'd give anyone a hamper if they responded like that  But I think the words 'discussion threads' and 'hampers' puts some people off ... until they see them ;)

(I still wouldn't take the time or make the effort though - but that's just me.)

Thank you very much... my OH is forever on about things like why don't penguins feet freeze and why the choc chips don't melt in cookies and muffins.. lol :rotfl: he makes me laugh with some of the stuff he comes out with. Have they got a website? JW as we haven't got one near us, although i have heard of it for some reason?!?!:D

  • Jordan, my brother sounds like a young version of your OH! Ever the enquiring mind! :)

Bit of advice needed, guys - my younger brother is golf mad, and he needs a golf towel - I've been looking into them and I think I might get one with his name on it... is this a bit cheesy/a bit too weird for a golf towel? I'd like to get him something he can treasure as he's only in his teens and golf is the first thing he's really taken a keen interest in and kept up so I'd like something nice to give him. What do you think?

I think the golf towel with his name on is a really good idea especially as its the first thing he's taken an interest in. Trust me my OH first interest was the army...now he's signed up and everything. He's like a big kid his face lights up whenever someone gets him something remotely to do with the army, his whole face lights up, its amazing:D
