I'm amazed people have used a Hotmail account to do your financial business with are you lot mad? Use a personal email service from your ISP provider Hotmail accounts get hacked every minute of everyday very silly IMO .
Hmm. This is adding to my worries!
Actually emails rarely reveal any information that can be used to any great effect. Activation codes are sent via email but they also require a username sent by post.
Correct me if you know any differently.
I have used Hotmail for years and my computer is hardly Fort Knox and I have never had an account hacked into. I suppose there's always a first time!0 -

Providing your password is not a silly and easily guessable one, Hotmail is just as secure as any other."The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

I am not convinced any batches came out last night, as only 1 person seemed to suggest they got an email last night. Hmmmm. I am still not convinced mines been junked either..
Sick of waiting though either way.0 -

I've just been reading the Icesave forum on Moneysupermarket.com and it appears that loads of people on there haven't received the first email either.
I would like to be reassured though that the late arrival of the first email does not necessarily mean the late arrival of the second. But I don't suppose anyone's going to be able to help me there.0 -
Certainly looks like plus net is a common link with a lot of us not getting the FSCS email. I haven't got my email. My mum hasn't got her email. We both use plus net.
I've raised a ticket with plus net (their jargon for ask a question) and will report back with the reply when received.
Edit following Baldur's post. Your solution does work for us both i.e. log into webmail by clicking webmail not surprisingly and typing in your username and password, click on folders, highlight inbox.spam, click on subscribe (if applicable), click on "check mail", click on spam folder on left and there it is.
Edit: Reply from Plus Net to my question asking them to ensure second email gets through
Dear *******
Thanks for your comments. I'll see if it's possible to post something on our service status page which advises customers to check their Spam folders. However, we can't easily get our anti-spam provider Postini to change the filtering so that these messages automatically arrive, which is part of the reason we're moving platforms soon:

If you have any further questions please let us know.

Well I will say that in recent years Hotmail have got their act together and it is far better and safer than it once was, they have a brilliant spam filter but unfortunately that is what is causing some folks not to receive their emails from the FSCS.
I agree what you say about about accounts being hacked into, it is easy to become paranoid about this and most of the paranoia is propagated by the media who do their very best to exaggerate the dangers and scare everyone away from using the internet especially for banking.
As long as one is sensible and avoids all the phishing emails then one is unlikely to get any problems (IMHO)0 -
Heh, in that case I wish I was on plusnet, no such luck for me!0

I've checked my Junk mail and still no email for me.
I had 3 accounts.
Cash ISa
6 month saver
and a normal account.
Does anyone have all 3 and if so have you received your email ?0
