It is the FSCS and its incompetent email distribution house that needs to be embarassed rather than you.
The FSCS should have sent a communication of this importance by post and not by email when people change email addresses all the time as they change internet service provider. Also as we have seen many legitimate emails may not reach people because they are incorrectly classed as being spam.0 -
Updating my previous posting, still no mail to me or hubby, both had isa's and a joint savings acct. We use Plusnet and no sign in the spam, started to get worried !:eek:0

Nothing for me again today however my wife did get one on Tuesday which is somewhat confusing as we have joint accounts and ISAs with Icesafe"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

Thought I would log on in the vain hope that my first email had been sent - no such luck. Another day of checking my emails and being constantly disappointed. Have read the content of the first email though and as long as I receive the all-important second one to tell me when I can get back my hard-earned cash, I will be happy. Its a bit disconcerting if the system is failing me at this stage though. Anyone else STILL waiting or am I the only one? If so, I feel very dejected.0

I presume you mean, you logged into icesave acnt, then altered your email contact address, from upper case to lower case. Pls can u clarify when you did so?....I thought icesave site is not allowing any login at the moment. I am inclined to make no last minute changes, but if I dont get my email soon, I will have to panic. It is all very well for fscs to pay thousands upon thousands of claims, and i am sure they will, but it wont be any comfort to the few who will have a problem of one sort or another. Just look at the fiasco re Kaupthing!....Illegitimi non carborundum
