Anyone *NOT* got their Icesave/FSCS email?

Its not been blocked by my ISP, I can login to my ISP spam controls via a control panel online and check my quarentine, it is empty. Also thunderbird has not junked it locally.
Its probably been blocked earlier in the chain then as hearfrom.com seem to have managed to trigger almost every form of spam filtering known to mankind.
Many ISPs also edgefilter the most blatant kinds of spam and that doesn't even reach your Quarantine folder in the first place.0 -
Hmm, if thats the case how am I going to ever get the second email?0

You will only get the second email if the FSCS's incompetent emailing house manages to make better arrangements to not have these emails marked as spam with all the major ISPs and their email services before it sends the next email and/or perhaps re-sends the current one again having made those arrangements.
Alternatively perhaps they will think better of only sending the second communication by email in the light of customer reaction and/or journalistic criticism and may also send it by post to the registered account address in view of the particular importance of account holders taking action within 28 days of the receipt of that email. If they don't their money is then likely to be frozen again for several weeks while a further manual reclaim process is invoked.
I suggest you contact the FSCS by phone to complain about this on 020 7892 7300. Ignore Option 1 for Icesave as that only gets you a recorded announcement and instead make sure to select Option 4.
Or email their Chairman and Chief Executive and their project manager for Icesave repayments as follows:-
Chairman - david.hall@fscs.org.uk
Chief Executive - loretta.minghella@fscs.org.uk
Icesave Repayment Project Manager - jonathan.clark@fscs.org.uk
Also you might like to complain about the lack of any interest payments by the FSCS after October 7th to your MP by using www.writetothem.com0 -
I'd suggest people ring their ISPs and ask them to whitelist the address (doing it yourself may not be enough if it's being stopped before it even hits your account). I had my work email address linked to the account and I'm growing increasingly concerned that the email has been junked and is lost forever due to overzealous spam filters. Not so important for this one but slightly more crucial for the second one....
I've rung the FSCS and told the guy that this is a problem and they need to address this with their mail-out company (who uses a spamming company for something so important as this?!). So maybe if they get enough calls they'll realise it's an issue and do something before the second email....0 -

I run my own email server (postfix) and any incoming mail is sent direct to that server (ie: no ISP filters etc) and I have not received the email. So I think there are probably more batches of emails to be send out yet. Either that, or there are people missing from the list they are using.0 -
I do hope you're right, am getting increasingly nervous that a large chunk of us seem to still be missing the emails. They still have 24 hours, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt....a little!0

Glad its not just me Climbgirl, I'm getting a little concerned too! I'm on Hotmail, and the addy is in my safe list, but I'm still getting a bit concerned none the less!'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0

Ultimately this email doesn't actually do anything other than to tell to you to keep on waiting and that the naughty FSCS won't pay any interest after October 7th despite Alistair Darling's incorrect assurances that no saver with Icesave would lose any of their money.
They may say the FSCS rules don't require them to pay interest after Oct 7th but if so that is a deficiency in the rules of the scheme as the time the FSCS takes to pay out is entirely unpredictable and not under the control of the account holder. If it was costing them interest then they would want to get on with paying out as fast as possible.
The second email may be more time critical if people can only access the portal to transfer the money in batches. and there is a big gap in the dates on which different account holders can log in to make the transfer. They are saying they are only going to give you 28 days from the date of the second email.
However perhaps they will have a rethink and also send a letter in the post due to the spam filtering problems experienced with this email.0 -
Well, I guess all their previous annoucements were posted at the last possible minute, so maybe they'll all come at 4.59 tomorrow night!0

Yeah, I'm not too bothered about this email - it just doesn't bode well for the more important second one....0
