Blimey, Gary, £110K. I thought my £57K was bad enough. You must have been s**tting it on 7/10!
Still no email here.0 -

My wife has had one, but I haven't and it's a joint account.
If Gary was bricking it imagine how we felt with another £45k on top of that potentially down the pan. Lesson learnt there.0 -

If its a joint account they only have one email address surely ?"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

No, separate logins and email addresses. Most of it is in a fixed rate in her name, only about £4k is in joint names, so if she logs in she sees both the fixed rate and the joint, whereas I only see the joint amount when I log in..
It'll be interesting to see how the refund's handled.0 -
Not arrived here yet. Will only be slightly worried if it does not arrive by Friday.
I would think they have split people at random into different mailing lists and are sending the email to these lists in turn.0 -
Mine was filtered out as being Spam by Postini who Plusnet use for spam email filtering. What dodgy mass emailing house that normally sends out endless spam is the FSCS using to manage to have the emails classified as spam in this way. More to the point why aren't they using the post for a communciation like this as Icesave used the post for various things like passwords etc despite this being a supposedly entirely online account.
Have any of you realised by reading this email that we are not to be paid any interest at all after October 7th when Icesave became insolvent and yet the FSCS can take as long as it feels like to pay us out. Why aren't we at least being paid some normal reasonable savings account rate of interest in the interim. If we just lose all interest after Oct 7th then what incentive does the FSCS have to get and on do things quickly?:mad:0 -
