My ISP is quite uncommon, UTILITY WAREHOUSE, but I received no email, nor a response on emailing the FSCS. Their filter is "IRONPORT". .
My ISP Karoo also uses IronPort but I could have sworn I switched it off via the control panel, ah well. I didn't get the first email but did get the response from the email sent to the address detailed yesterday, I just hope I get the second email now!0 -

The FSCS's lack of basic technical knowledge (aluded to by some) is borne out by their latest "info":-
A blank email is all you need to send to generate an automated response from us which contains the first email. This response may take longer for some people depending on your internet service provider's spam filters.
I mean - spam filters do not have any bearing on "how long" emails take - they either stop/move an email immediately or they...errr...don't !0 -
Livemail put the email in my junk file. Luckily I checked it before emptying the file, so now FSCS are on my contacts list ready for the next one.

Why do you think the government cut interest rates by 1.5% all in one go.;):rolleyes:0 -
Thanks to Jonathan1024 for his advice, I'm also with uwclub and have changed my email on Icesave and all went well, what a relief, it kind of looks like (having read most of this thread) that those people that haven't received their emails are having them blocked by their ISP's (I just wonder what else has been blocked that I've never seen) ?0

Probably some other bulk email stuff that is not quite Viagra spam but may be marketing mails from companies you are already a customer of and may want to hear from.
Plusnet lets you views all the blocked stuff if you want to and you can then whitelist any addresses (either at the full address level or the domain level) that you do want to receive emails from. I had to do this with a relative for both waitrose.com and thewinesociety.com0 -
I thought this might be of use to some of you, who like me have still not received their 1st email.
I have just spoken to a person on the FSCS helpline and they are aware that a lot of people have not yet received an email from them!! They are going to post a message on there website on Monday or Tuesday to give further information as to what to do.0 -

Found my email from FSCS by sheer chance in my deleted box.
no idea how it arrived there. Good job I didn't do my usual and delete everything without checking first. Now waiting for the next email.
