  • Hi All has anyone actually been connected to a real perosn on the helpline?

Yes although they still behaved like an inhuman robot in terms of answering any questions about the email properly.

Call 020 7892 7300 as listed at https://www.fscs.org.uk/contacts/ and select Option 4 for a real person.

Even a robot actually replying rather than endless musac whilst on hold might be
    better.
The Talktalk 2nd line service guy from somewhere in Asia had a hard time understanding me and vice-versa. The whole concept of spam filtering seemed to
be a new concept. The guy from FSCS did seem to know about white listing etc
so lets hope something is done on Monday. Can't believe no one using Talktalk has received the 1st e-mail from FSCS

Why do you have trouble believing that? If it tripped the TalkTalk spam filter and TalkTalk does not give access to customers to spam filtered emails then no TalkTalk customers at all would have received it.

Why not do what others are doing?

See Susie's message at post 314 in this thread.

We only know for sure whether "it works" if we get our second email to the new email address rather than the original one (which we won't see)

fingers, toes, and other appendages crossed.....

yes, apart from that silly walk, we'll be identifiable by the pale, gaunt look of weeks of stress _pale_
  • Tried all day to get through to FSCS help line - no luck. I'm with TalkTalk and no Email yet. Have done what they suggested and sent Email to FSCS but no reply came back! Will try Monday - don't want to waste my Sunday on the phone!

If as the FSCS say I was the 350th Talktalk customer to contact them to say I haven't
receive their 1st e-mail, one would expect the Fscs to have contacted Talktalk direct to
sort out the problem before now. The amount of money I must have spent already on hold to FSCS 0845 number I could have bought a case of wine. Lets hope something is sorted on Monday
