Proves then that it was not the FSCS at fault but the spam filter at Talk Talk. :)

No it doesn't because the manual request email appears to be being sent by a process that does not as readily trip all the spam filters with ISPs.

Glad you are sorted and happy, Lol I can relax now. :rotfl:
I have done the same (also with talktalk).

After you receive the first message and send the confirmation (which I have done), do you get another message to confirm that they have received the confirmation ?
  • I emailed them, got their first email, confirmed I'd received it and then got the first email again - all in the space of a few minutes.
  • no first email and no reply to my email to the linked email addy but my account does show a column re getting comp?

No, so long as you retained the subject in your reply. If you deleted the subject in your reply that may trigger another response and you will be going round in circles.

It has helped as I have been really worried back since 7th October as at the moment for various reasons, this was the worse time I coudl have potentially be losing savings. I appreciate all the feedback and depsite being really worried, especially last night, I found the "camaraderie" really comforting if that doenst sound daft. Anyway thanks again....you are all :A

For anybody using Talk Talk it would seem that their servers are blocking these emails as spam
