They claim that the majority of people should have their money back in November, but I'm not seeing it happening somehow....

Ye of little faith! :rotfl::) Don't forget that it's only a couple of weeks ago that people were pontificating that we would not be getting our cash back for at least 6 months, some were suggesting several years!
I am usually a very pessimistic person but in this case I really do feel confident that we shall have our cash back in the next 3 weeks. :j

    Fingers crossed :rotfl:

I am on talktalk also, still no email and same repsonse when phone dagin jsut now. I changed my email to lower case on Icesave yesterday so I dont think that makes a difference. Also nothing in spam
    Morning, everyone!

Just thought I'd drop in and reassure everyone that them having your e-mail address in capital letters rather than lower case will not make any difference at all - e-mail addresses are NEVER case sensitive. I should know, I deal with enough of them in my job as a computer geek! ;)

If anyone around here has successfully received the e-mail and could post up the e-mail address they RECEIVED it from, people who have been having problems could try putting it in their spam filters as a 'safe' address, maybe?

I am sure that the lack of your email is more due to a spam filter or Talk Talk problem, if your account is showing ok I would not worry too much.

It is mainly due to the manner in which hearfrom.com sent out the bulk email on the FSA's behalf and/or because most of what hearfrom.com normally sends out is unsolicited and unwanted commercial mailshots.:mad:

I too haven't been able to get through to FSCS, but I have made my Christmas cake, so something good has happened this morning!

Yes , I can actually log on now and see the account ( couldnt immediailty after 7th october as effectively when I tried to move the money they closed the account).
Thanks for that, I will just have to log on each day :A

Susie if I were you I would take it easy for a while in the knowledge that your cash is listed on the Icesave site and is safe, if your account was not showing that would be the time to start worrying (IMHO) it will work out fine you will see.

(It's easy for me to type confidently but I do understand how you feel and you have my thoughts.) Try not to worry.

Hi Jes, I confirm what you say about about emails in capitals or small case, it makes no difference at all, Aol email addys always started with a capital because it was based on ones screen name but it works either way.

As regards the spam filter and adding safe addresses there have been a couple of threads recently with instructions for the 'uninitiated' on how to do this. :)

AOL and Talk Talk seem to have aggressive spam filters.

The BBC's Money Box programme on radio 4 is doing a special feature today on the ICEsave process. The programme starts at noon, for anyone who might be interested. It might give us all a bit more info.
