I was given this link last week- bananas and carrots in it, not tried it yet though as things not gone to plan baking wise this week :(.
That's the one I've linked to;) I thoroughly recommend it.

OT -how do you quote something from another thread Orkneystar? I've often wondered.

I just go in to the post I want and press quote. As you know this will give you a new message window with the quote in it. I simply then highlight the whole text and use the copy function (hold down ctrl button and c at the same time). I then go into thread I want to paste into and in the little replay box at the bottom I paste (ctrl v). Hope this makes sense :o .

  • Thanks thriftlady, for asking that question, and to orkneystar for the answer, I've always wondered how you smart people do that as well.

I was about to post a link to that cake again, too - thanks thriftlady for first alerting me to it :T I'll merge this thread to the existing carrot thread.

Through poor planning and an unexpected vegbox...I suddenly have a lot of carrots that need using......all ideas gratefully received....I'm having a baby brain blank this morning induced by teething based sleep deprivation.

    Cheers in anticipation.

Hi there, when I've got lots of carrots I make a big batch of soup... carrot goes really well with coriander or tarragon.

Finely chop the carrots or whizz them up in a blender, fry them gently in a pan in some melted butter with some onion and potato, cover in a light stock (chicken or vegetable) and cook for about an hour, seasoned with plenty of coriander or tarragon and salt and pepper.

    Hope that helps!
