Hi PaP
Yep - I know that the tide will change - just seems to be taking forever. But I have no intention of 'giving up' - thanks.
No I didn't get a 'Dear Grandad' card on Fathers' day - didn't even think about it - so that makes this all the more special.
Jack is fine, thanks - he's nearly 16 weeks old and had his first 'solid' meal today. :T
I'm sure that 'Dysons' are not all rubbish - ours certainly cleans very well, but it is very heavy and not very maneuverable. We had many years of good service from our 'Henry' as I'm sure you will too.
Good luck with the 'plodding', PaP. :beer:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.

Hi Rog,
Yes it does indeed seem like its taking ages. However if all these employers saw what they were missing ~ well. Please never ever give up, I know there is something out there for you... Its just finding it :T On a side line are you still with asda? Awww I guess he was too busy on fathers day but then again your birthday card is more personal anyways (every father and grand father has one on that day). Lets hope there are loads more to come from Jack in the futureThanks I am sure Henry will be worth his weight in gold. Take care, hope you have a fab weekend whatever you are up to and keep plodding

Well nothing much to update with. I have £83 left ready to go to Argos/CC (still havent got my Argos statement ) although thats not taking into account my 'payment a day' (PaD) to my isa. That is slowly filling up (again!) although my first target is only £100. I am planning to go up in £100 stages as that doesnt seem to far away if I will be paying £1 a day min. I have decided I am not going to touch this now (appart from xmas) and try and save as much as I can before the end of the tax year :j However that means I need somewhere else to stash holiday savings. So I have an empty money box here so I will be using that and filling it as and when. I predict I will need around £130 for holiday although anything that I dont spend will go back into savings anyways :T
Ok so its payday soon and here is my SOA for the next month. I have already payed for this months SU club so thats one thing less to worry about :j
£120.00 ~ Rent
£13.00 ~ House ins
£12.50 ~ Line rental
£22.00 ~ Bus ticket
£10.00 ~ t v*
£15.00 ~ install tv*
£160.00 ~ Meal packs
* This is added because I have moved my room back around, our ariel is pants and I am the only one in the whole house who uses it. The other way aorund I could get 3 out fo the 4 channels, I can now only get one. So I have asked my lil brother if I can have a box from virgin tagged onto his, he has agreed for £10 a month. I dont think thats too much tbh, it works out at 32p a day. But because we need to get an engineer in we have to pay for £30 to install it but we will go halfs on that :T
So that totals = £352.50 not too bad
As of today I still owe CC £67.26 and Argos £95.90. One of these I will use whats left in my accounts (£65 min) to pay some and the remainder will be payed next month. However I may pay £50 to Argos on payday and pay the remainder in August because its 0%. I will decided that on payday though.
So thats me for a few more days, not doing much really although I am still plodding :rotfl:
Have a great weekend all0 -

Hi PaP - I'm not really sure if I'm 'still with ASDA
I know that may sound silly, but I last worked for them nearly two weeks ago - it was 30+degrees. Another driver had let them down, and they phoned me at 10 past eight to see if I would come in for 9 o'clock. I had a very long and heavy round and was 15 minutes late back at the depot - according to what the computer said I should be - and my 'uniform' was stuck to me with sweat.
The 'girl' in the depot told me off for 'taking so long' and I reminded her that I had turned up within one hour of being called out, was doing them a favour and didn't deserve to be spoken to like that - I haven't had any work from them since.
I'm happy enough not to be working with them, but I'm not very happy earning nothing.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.

Eeek Rog not too good eh  As you say though its fine not working for them but having no income is pants. Can you not try for the same job with Tesco or arnt you near a Tesco? I do hope things turn around for you soon....
I have just been bad and ordered some of the 5 token xmas gifts I have to buy. They are all getting money but I will put the money 'inside' the gift. I had already brought my lil bro a laptop cushion thing that was reduce to £10. Just now I have spent £10.61 on a filled vanity case for my big sister and a musk gift set for Mum. That means only 2 to buy. Obviously that has put back how much I can pay off my debt before payday however for that price I think its 'ok'. Just an older lady to buy for and my bil now :j0 -
Ok after thinking about it all day i have just payed £60 off my CC I was waiting for my Argos statement but I can pay that on payday. So that should leave £7.61 on my CC but I put the xmas gifts on it so its actually £17.97 :wall: That leaves £23 in my current account so i will do some PaD's using that and then anything left on tuesday night will go into my CC :T

Ok the CC is now clear :j I have £12.03 left untill payday so that should cover my PaD's. I 'think' I may have to pay the interest on this though but I dont think it will be more that £20. Still have Argos to pay though
Speak soon :cool:0 -

They are, beanie - they are. They phoned me this morning to ask if I could work today - I said I would and went for a quick shower - just got out of the shower and they phoned back to say that someone had 'made a mistake with the rota' and they didn't need me after all.
It's actually causing a lot of grief because my wife thinks that it is me that doesn't want to work.
Anyway - mustn't 'hijack' PaP's thread- we must all just 'keep on plodding'.

Morning all its payday :j I know sad isnt it :rotfl: Anyways a quick post from me. After allocating everything in pots I have left to pay from my bills account £220.50 (that doesnt include argos) however left in my account is £490.00. So that leaves £379.50 as disposable  So obviously after clearing Argos that will leave £173.60 :j I am going to say no less this month than £3 a day for my PaD into my isa. That should be £90/£100 which will leave me £73.60 for the month. I have 3 things to post this month so that will be approx £14, I might see if I can buy a new bag and I 'might' rent a dvd. Other than any extra will head for my isa and holiday savings  Last wages with major overtime in it though so I will becak to £480/£500 next month
Keep plodding all :j0
