  • well no point until "close of business friday" then we start scrabbling to ring the 0845 number:beer: - my 1st question is " who will be answering it after close of business" on a Friday?

This could be nothing and it will arrive in next 19 hours or it could be to do with the reports of the 1st email's dodgy message headers meaning the email's being caught by spamtraps etc out there "in't ether like...."

    sit tight for now!

Don't call the 0845 number unless you want to lose even more money than the FSCS already plan to chisel you out of in lost interest after October 7th. Call 020 7892 7300 listed on their own website and included in bundled minutes on landline and mobile phone callling plans. Then selection Option 4 to get through to a real person.

If you click the logon button you get the following info, so please DON'T attempt to claim!!

    "FSCS Claims Process
Welcome to the FSCS depositor compensation payment process......
You can only commence the compensation payment process if you have received e-mail notification from FSCS that your account is reactivated for this purpose. If you have not yet received this notification, please log off and wait for your e-mail notification that you can claim. If you have not received such e-mail notification by 4 December, please contact Icesave's Customer Services Helpline on 0845 605 6050."

re my previous post, although still not had email I feel a little better as I have now been able to log on and reset my password, view my account and re-print the balance. I have also chaged my email address to lower case, although I did get a new password email from them before I did. When I clicked on the initiate claim buutton I go the following :

"If you do not see any options below then you are currently unable to initiate your FSCS claim. Once you have received your email notification please log back into your account and initiate your FSCS claim"

Therefore am still awaiting email with bated breath! If its not hear by lunchtiem I am on the phone!!..............:rotfl:

    8. Will you compensate me for any interest I have earned on my account? Interest owed to the depositor as at the date the bank is declared "in default" by FSCS will be paid as part of the compensation amount. Notice accounts will be paid as if notice had been served on the day the account was frozen and payment will be made, including interest, at the end of the notice period. Fixed term accounts will be paid at the maturity date with the interest that would have been paid by the bank at maturity date.

Susie, I wouldn't worry too much, others have reported getting the same message even when they have received the 1st email.
