Perhaps you should offer a prize as an incentive. How about a year's supply of Puffin Pie

It is going to be interesting to see how well this is handled, particularly after the KE / ING fiasco. I've only got some accrued interest to be paid out, so I'm not sweating it and frankly don't expect to see it for a couple of weeks at least.

Dave have you logged in and checked your Icesave accounts? Many (including mine) were made with interest late last week (entered as 10-10-08), appearing to be calculated up to 7-10-08, including fixed rate accounts. Obviously ready for direct payment out in to linked accounts.
  • They're supposed to be e-mailing us all today with an explanation of how the process will work. The sheer volume of messages being sent will result in some getting it before others, so yes, it may be helpful for the first person who gets one to post the contents.

I believe the individual messages will be phased over the next few weeks.

They have never committed to that. They have been reported in the press as having said they will start sending out communications on the 3rd.

I need some cheering up after Rory Bremner's joke along the lines "who would imagine people saving in Iceland?...I mean that's just one rung up the banking ladder from Nigeria...."
  • maybe once received you'd like to reinvest here (parent bank in Nigeria I believe)

Hi isofa, yes I spotted yesterday that my interest had been made up to the date they went bust. It's not a huge amount in my case (just over £70) since I got the bulk of my money out several days before the collapse.

Still, every little helps and I'll be glad to see it come home ;)
