Have just spoken to someone at the FSCS. I asked for clarification on when we might expect to receive the emails/letters and was told that it would be the middle to end of next week. I mentioned that I thought it was supposed to be from today, but was told that it's been put back.

True, but the initial message will just be a mass e-mail explaining how the process works so everyone should get it at more or less the same time. If that isn't sent today, people will start to get jumpy again.

To be fair the FSCS FAQs say "The payment system will be operational in about ten days' time" which means essentially "around today".

I don't think people should be too suprised if we don't hear anything till middle of the week.
