Although I must say if I hadn't realised whose book it was and I hadn't known the guy I'd have been ranting for hours :rotfl:I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

I am looking after the wife of the guy on the desk and when I went to collect it he said "damn I think we've lost it" and didn't charge me. So despite the huge yellow sticker I didn't have to pay. Best money saving tip become a midwife you can get away with murder lol
ah bless! :A
phew! well glad you didn't have to pay for it at least!
i'll nicely mention it next time i'm in, most people won't be as understanding or as lucky about that sort of thing and i don't want a repeat performance of that one!
i had to stop putting my return address on because the eejits kept posting my own items back to me, doesn't matter how obvious it is that i'm NOT sending it to me, they kept doing it!
anyone that's swapped with me will notice i put 'SEND TO' before the name, it would seem i need to instruct the employees how to do their jobs  :eek:founder of Frugal Genius UK (Yahoo Groups)0 -
Funny you should say that AT I received a card from the post office asking me to put £1.20 in stamps on it because someone has tried to post me something and not paid 20p. I have sent the card to them twice now and got it back each time!!Very impressed with the speed though, got it back the very next day :rotfl: Now been told to send it in an envelope and write free post on it!Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

Well with all that saving on postage you must be a millionairre! But I'm afraid if you dont supply the Champagne for the entire trip you're sitting on the wing (without a parachute)I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

I mentioned the other day that I had been conned by a swapper who has failed to send me the book and doesnt reply to emails. I was annoyed because it was quite a good one.
I would never have thought it was valuable had I not checked his listing. Anyway, someone must like me because I found one in a rubbish skip today!!

On a more serious note if you have a COP and the book goes missing will the post office refund you? As after whats happened with my last amazon sale was planning on sending all books recorded delivery as I'm certain this person has pulled a fast one. But recorded delivery will probably eat up most of the profits.I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.
