If you want an opinion as to whether your book is truly worth the money then email me with title/author details.

Not sure how to email on here.
Its called " Kimberlites, Diatremes and Diamonds: Their Geology, Petrology and Geochemistry"

Its immaculate but it has a sold by uni stamp inside. It was never lent out (I can fully understand why!)

Any help on a guide price would be much appreciated I just kept lowering till it was halfway between the two that were on there.
I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

Bit slow to catch up with the latest but.....

AT - can you ask the swapee to choose another book instead of paying him money, then it still adheres to the ethics of the swap site????? After all he may not have paid much for it himself or it could have been a previous swap.

everyone else!!!!!...and AT(or AP as you have now been christened on Feng Shui thread!!!) - I have done a swap with a book that only has ONE on, in the US and its priced at £185. I really have no idea how to price this because its definitely not worth that...its just a kids book. What should I start at? Don't wanna take the p*sh.

Things still quiet here...the odd sale or two and lots of swaps. Keep making mistakes and swapping penny books for penny books :o (don't tell OH!!!)

  • Thanks for the idea, I hadn't thought about asking him to make another choice. it was yesterday that he told me it was missing so I suggested that he gave it another couple of days and then get back to me, so I'll suggest another book first before I cough up.

Have you checked your kids book on bookfinder site? (the link's on this thread about 10-14 days ago)

    !!)

i found a sesame street learning to read book, only had one available, think it was from the 70's they were asking £272!

for that much dd can rely on the govt to teach her to read! :rotfl:

i seem to be on a roll (knock wood!) bought a rather obscure classical opera yesterday for £1 it's gone in less than 24 hours my profit will be £6! not too shabby :p

i'd be happy selling just 2 items a day so let's hope this keeps up ;)

here's hoping everyone else is doing well

An unpredictable title, it just depends if a scientist somewhere is looking for a copy and think to look on amazon UK. They would probably buy the £ 52 one first as these sort of books are wanted for research and the buyer isnt worried about condition.

What you need is a major seminar on the subject!

or you could secretly join a forum on the subject using a different name to your amazon name then rave on and on about that book and then wait for the stampede on amazon :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
