becky004 wrote:Here's a question. How long would you keep a book on amazon for? Bought an obscure title that you would only want if you were a specialist. Was 1 other on for about £160, mine is in excellent condition and I've been reducing it weekly, is now 1 other 1 in acceptable condition for about £55 mine is currently £90. Now I can't see it ever selling but thats just my opinion. Should I just stick it on RISI to be done with it or stick it out?
I've sold things before that I've had listed for over two years!! Haven't sold anything since Christmas now though!!0 -

thanks for the tip, sold the book in 10 mins (I put the price up to 2k beforehand) and have just booked a holiday to the bahamas :rotfl:I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

just sold another book (only cost me 19p!)
that's 7 items in the last 3 days :T
thank you soooo much AT for getting this thread going, i can actually see myself being able to support my family now as the ebay sales are so slow for small profits these days
i'll still do both but i'm making such good turn arounds even with the outrageous fees that amazon charges that we might be able to keep ourselves in food and shoesfounder of Frugal Genius UK (Yahoo Groups)0 -
Well done HOL, 7 items in 3 days is impressive.
I wish that Amazon and ebay had been around 20 years ago when my kidz were small, it's so easy to work as much or as little as you want to (or need to) and you can take time off as needed too and it so nice being your own boss, if only I could turn back the clock.....0 -
I've just lowered the prices on all my books as I haven't sold anything for nearly a week.
