Hi there. Sorry to be a pain - I have read thru but cannot find the answer. How soon after selling should you expect feedback? Do you find a lot of buyers do not leave feed back? I sold my 1st book - paperback to Italy on 26.1.06, posted immediately but there is still no change to my account AND I have not yet received payment. I have loads of my own books that I want to list and am really keen to get them all on but am worried.
Thanks for any advice.0 -
Hi Leo, well done on the first sale.
The money is held by Amazon and they pay it to your bank account every 2 weeks, it then it takes 4 or 5 days to go through the system before you can get your hands on it. If you go into your sellers account then account summary you'll see the payment there and the date that they will move it across, there's a button to click to move it sooner on this page too.
Feedback can be left for the seller if the buyer knows their way around the amazon pages, if they go to their account page they will see what they bought and can leave feedback there. If they don't do this amazon will email them a few weeks later and direct them with a link to where they can leave feedback but by then they often can't be bothered, I'm afraid.0 -

Sorry didn't know how to quote just the bit I wanted!!!
I think you can still cancel the swap if you look ay "MY SWAPS". It might depend on if you initiated the swap but I had a person request a swap and as I was about to start looking through their books, I got an email saying they had cancelled swap. Try it!!!!!
I am paranoid about this happening to me so send OH upstairs to look before accepting a swap!!!Laughing at my ancient signature...voodoobaby now 10 years old:eek:0 -
Is anyone else concerned about the OCD'ish side to all this book buying, swapping, selling and hoarding??? I am just really speaking for myself here, but wondered if anyone else was feeling like it too?
I have been in and out of the charity shops this week and then to a boot sale this morning - I would imagine I have spent over £20 this week on books and though I have had a good week on Amazon - maybe made £35ish I am wondering if I am losing the plot about it all!!! The state of my front room this morning, with piles of books, videos, bubble wrap and sellotape etc, plus all the other things I am neglecting so obsessed am I checking to see if I have a sold email!!!
Would you care to share if you limit yourself to a certain amount per week to spend on amazon buying? I am beginning to think I must limit myself to £5.00 or I will be left with piles of books, which I cannot be sure will sell. I am always a bit obesessive about things I get involved in anyway!
It is a good job I am not doing swapit as well!Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

i see some of our members relist their items - does it drum up much interest?
It gets them to the top of the list - if people are only looking through the first few pages then they stand more chance of getting noticed, and I find that it does appear to drum up more interest than just leaving them.0 -
Hi Larmy, it's a mind set, to me it's work and if I need to spend time buying stuff, having it all over the floor while I list it and then gets put in all 4 corners of Tycoon Towers then so be it, if it means I can get a decent wage whilst staying home doing all sorts of MSE old style stuff then that's what has to happen (I have to brag - I surpassed myself this week with homemade bread, yogurt, jam, sausages, flapjacks, scones, chutney, soup and butter)
It just depends on if you view it as a hobby or an income generator0 -

Well I suppose as it is in addition to working full time maybe it is a hobby getting out of hand!!!!!!!! I have just had one of those horrible weeks, feeling overwhelmed - I can understand though if it is your source of income you have to take it more seriously. Oh well things are all back in their place for the time being. I am going to try and give myself a budget though, because having to fund the postage up front is eating into my weekly money too.
I was just musing really......I made bread an yoghurt too but the bread got left as we seemed to be off colour this week with colds and chest probs.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01
