  • 2 of the books I've received today from the same swapee stink of fags. Both worth about a fiver on amazon.

Any ideas for getting rid of the stench or do I just bin 'em?!

    :(
Put them in a bag with some bicarbonate of soda?

I'm guessing a bit but if you sell a lot then this http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/jump2?mediaId=400047&catId=400046 says something.

  • It depends what you paid for the book, how heavy it is and whether you have paid to be a Pro on Amazon (I think you receive £0.86 more per book)?
If you bought it for v little, have an account with the Post Office, sell loads of them and don't pay that 86p then you can make a living.

A-ha i see - how do you pay to be a pro- I have about 50 things listed would it be worthi t for me and how much does it cost.

  • I think if you are a business sending out over 1000 items of mail a day then you probably DON'T have time (or need) to sell on Amazon!!!!!!!!! :D

Might have another box of FREE books to collect tomorrow which is always a bonus!!! My sales have slowed a little but to balance it out, the items I have sold have all been quite high prices. :D

Won't they end up all powdery?

Re pro merchant, the details are here. You don't get given 86p, basically you play a flat rate sub instead of the 86p per item fee. If you sell over 30 items a month it works out cheaper.

It isn't worth it for you as you need to sell over 30 items a month really. It costs £28.75 a month, although Amazon did offer half price subscription back in November, I think, for a few months http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/tg/browse/-/3149221/ref=w_h__brbx_c_1_0/203-8518679-0041562

Well, the_book_depository has received 22052 feedbacks over the last 30 days, approaching a 1000 a day, and as most people don't leave feedback..
