  • I would agree that it is undervalued. Perhaps you could try around the low 30s. How heavy is it?

    Hello Seabiscuit

I doubt your book is worth much as it sounds like the copy listed by the American seller is one of the megalisters who put ludicrously high prices on cheap items. I imagine the UK seller has just seen the American price and added on a bit for better availability. You should be able to find a copy of your paperback on Bookfinder by entering the ISBN number.

It depends what you paid for the book, how heavy it is and whether you have paid to be a Pro on Amazon (I think you receive £0.86 more per book)?
If you bought it for v little, have an account with the Post Office, sell loads of them and don't pay that 86p then you can make a living.

Mmm, tricky one. I suspect the others listed are chancing their arms. I'd probably slightly undercut the other uk seller and then give it a couple of weeks or so at that price, then lower it every week or so I got a taker.

How much is the hardback fetching on amazon? I'd probably keep that price in mind when setting a price for the paperback as a buyer is likely to look at all editions when selecting a book. Would you buy a hardcover for £20 or a paperback for £40 when the postage charge is identical?

Also, is it a first edition that might make it more desirable than others?

2 of the books I've received today from the same swapee stink of fags. Both worth about a fiver on amazon.

Any ideas for getting rid of the stench or do I just bin 'em?!
