I'm getting two or three a day at the moment. Unfortunately not all have books to my liking (tee hee!!!). I haven't actually browsed through to see what other people have got cos' I've been so busy receiving requests!!!
Anyway keep on truckin everyone

The site itself is snowballing, when HOLsale first mentioned it around 3 or 4 weeks ago there were less than 3000 books on the site and now it's heading towards double that number so there are plenty on offer for everyone.....it's just great
hmmmmmmmm maybe they should thank me, i know from mentioning it here and on FGUK i have gotten a LOT of people to sign up with them :eek:founder of Frugal Genius UK (Yahoo Groups)0 -
:j Well WE ALL appreciate it HOLsale!!!!!!!! :j
Had a nice surprise upon getting home from work...a book I put on this morning had sold for £42!!! OH found it in the loft, it was his ex's...only one on in US for £70 but theirs was a hardback and mine was a paperback given away by a pharmaceutical company so I just thought I'd try a cheeky price and sold it!!!
I did explain about the difference BTWLaughing at my ancient signature...voodoobaby now 10 years old:eek:0 -
I agree with voodoo :T HOLsale deserves a big pat on the back for finding the swapit site :T it's a pity that the original post was in december not january or I would have nominated it.
My OH has had some great swaps for his books as well as me - the postman isn't too thrilled, the van's here everyday, we're practically on first name terms now.0 -
Commiserations to PURPLEPATCH regarding the 4out of 5. that happened to me too. Comment was "Thank you very much", however it was the 3 out of 5 - saying the book took a long time (Christmas week)!!!!! that really put the mockers on my rating. I do not really understand the rating atall, but I am at 96% because of that - it still makes me mad!(saddo

I have had the quietest week so far on Amazon. Two sales I think, one resulting in a 37p profit! OOOh what will I spend it on?
Nothing until yesterday and then drum roll................................a PENDING!!!!!!
Anyone with books on SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder)might be having a lot of luck!:) I heard an "expert" saying this was the gloomiest year yet on record with miniscule amounts of sunlight. So lots of peeps are hibernating at the moment.
Maybe that is why we are all so quiet.
PS Annoyed as I am paying the 0.86 fee, I am glad I did not go pro-merchant - I do not think my recent sales would warrant it.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

Hmmm, Saturdays don't usually count towards working days do they.
I would say you'll be fine to send Monday, but I'd certainly send it first class and get it down there early so that it picks up an early collection (assuming they have more than one collection each day).
My PO only opens Saturday mornings and if you get there after a certain time (which I always seem to at around midday) you miss the collection anyway and it goes Monday. If your PO is similar then you're not into 2 complete 'PO working days' until Monday anyway.
Perhaps someone will be along later to give you a definite answer rather than an opinion.
Hope you're feeling better by the way0 -
thanks - nothing serious luckily
i was thinking along those lines, but its nice to hear a second (and third and fourth) opinionsSee the stars they’re shining brightEverything’s alright tonight0 -

I think if you email the buyer explaining, it would be fine - most of them are very nice!!!!!Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

Hi Seabiscuit - I agree with Larmy16.
Send the buyer an email and explain that you haven't been able to get to the PO becasue of illness, but that the item will be sent on Monday. I'm sure they will understand as most people are rather nice really - it is only when we don't communicate that problems start to occur! They might not even mind it still going second class, although I must admit that providing I wasn't going to be making a loss I'd send it 1st Class.
