My £40 from British Gas has validated already on Quidco. :D

I've just placed a shopping order through sainsbury's online for delivery next week - they sent me a £15 e-voucher so I've used that too for £15 off. :D

I've also listed another item on ebay - aren't I good?!

Can highly recommend the slow cooker! Results were fab! I chucked in:-
    Braising steak (£2.50s worth)
Carrots, Onion, 2 x leeks, 1 x red pepper, mushrooms, beef stock (2 oxo cubes), flour, tomato puree and about 125ml of red wine. All served up with a bit of rice YUM YUM!

Went to weight watchers tonight and lost another 1lb :T . Just packaged my three things up from ebay and have another 2 items finishing tonight and 4 tomorrow (tomorrow's having got any bids yet but they are only a couple of books). Must list some more things!!! Working tomorrow night so will have to make sure I do that on Wednesday.

I have taken on an extra shift this week, offered to work Saturday lunch time so that will be an extra £30.00 plus any tips that I might get. That will go towards mothers day gifts and cards etc.

One day maybe I will be debt free :o
  • Glad the slow cooker worked out well, sounds lovely.
Congrats on weight watchers, I really must get my head back into gear with the diet thing. I have done weight watchers successfully before, but moved area, put on weight, have tried 3 different ww meetings around here and the leaders just don't seem to do much, certainly not worth the weekly fee. They weren't supportive or encouraging at all! I tried doing it online and do well for a few weeks but it's difficult to keep the motivation when you're doing it yourself.

Good news about the extra shifts too. x

Only 2 items out of 5 sold last night, but including the postage that is another £8.00. The other 3 things were books, might try greenmetropolis or amazon to see if they have any more joy. I need to go out today and buy hair dye (sshhhh - I have too much grey coming through and I'm only 31!!!! ) I think there is a savers if I go in to the town that is about 15 minutes away so I should be able to get one for about £4.50 rather than spending £50.00 at the hairdressers! :D I had about £6.00 tips last night so that covers that. Also need to find another slow cooker recipe for braising steak as I bought two packets for £5.00 the other day :D

  • Hi skysky x Yes, give Amazon or green met a go, you never know they might go and it'll be a few more pounds in a pot :D

As for grey hairs - tell me about it! I'm very nearly 30 and I'm finding those horrible grey/white wirey ones that stick out a mile from the others! Gonna have to start dying my hair soon I think...

Have a look on the old style board for slow cooker recipes if you haven't done so already. There's loads of them over there. I bought a slow cooker recipe book when I bought the cooker, but it was never worth it. It was very American and loads of expensive ingredients.

Not much of an eventful DFW day for me today. Hubby has posted some of the Amazon sales for me. I've chased the cashback deal from my mobi AGAIN, otherwise that's it really.
  • Just checked ebay and we have about £8 worth of bids so far which isn't bad, considering there 3 and 5 days to go on the auctions.

I did another survey last night, earning £1.10. :o Was screened out of another.

I also did a bit more to the garden last night, 'relocating' some plants and rocks from one place to the new bit I've been working on, instead of buying new ones! We have to clear the whole garden so the plants would've had to move eventually anyway! :rotfl:I will need to buy a couple more little ones though but won't cost more than £5. I really want to get started on the rest then. :D
  • Our ebay bids are now over £25. :j They have another few days on them yet before the auctions end. So hopefully that will be another little chunk paid off the credit card before the end of the week. :D
