My goodness, the ipod shuffle has just sold for £32.00 :T Do you ever feel nervous when you first sell something for quite a good price that the people will get it and complain?? Will package it up really well and send it recorded delivery tomorrow.
I am thinking of applying to be a weight watchers leader. Not sure whether I will get an interview but I am going to give it a try. I have so far lost 2 stone through weight watchers and only have 4.5lb to go till I get to my target weight.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 607 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :T

It really feels like I've lost the hour's sleep this morning! I'm so tired, it took me an hour of snoozing to actually get out of bed this morning.
I had a lovely weekend with my family, it's just a shame the weekends go so quick.
On the DFW front, it was my birthday last week and amongst other things, I had lots of garden and DIY vouchers and some money for my birthday from my wonderful family and friends. They really spoilt me. I can get on with the garden a bit now thanks to them. :A
My Mum gave me a few more books to sell on Amazon, which I listed last night. I listed the first one, and before I'd listed the next one, the first had already sold! That's £6.36 we can pay off the credit card thanks to that, leaving the balance now at £3792.69.
My lovely parents also loaded us up with food and treats which has helped the shopping budget enormously. They also bought us a few bits for the garden; they're so good to me, they really are.
That's a great amount for the shuffle skysky, that'll be a good sum towards something else.
As for the ww leader thing - go for it! Good luck with it and let us know how it goes. Well done on losing the weight too, I'm desperately trying but I'm not doing well at all!0 -
I've just checked my Quidco account and they will be paying in £52.79 over the next few days. :j
Hopefully we can use this as another payment off the credit card, but I'll have to check the bank balance first as we have an expensive month ahead of us.0 -
Well I've had a look at the bank balance and I don't think we'll be able to put the Quidco amount onto the credit card - we're gonna need it for the rest of the month for sure.
I'm also having trouble with paypal again . There's over £60 in my account, but they're saying I can only withdraw £20 of it as I've reached my limit for the year (I wish I had, but I haven't!). They admitted they should've reset the limit last December, now they're saying they won't. Meanwhile, my money is stuck in Paypal's bank account and not mine... grrrr. I HATE paypal!
I've been re-assessing our debt today. We did well on the credit card overpayments last month, but we're going to struggle with overpaying much more this month I think. I've run out of things to ebay and sell on Amazon and we're not planning on doing a car boot sale for at least 2 months. I really want to make sure we pay at least £400 a month off that card somehow, then we'll be rid of the card within 10 months. Not sure if we'll be able to make/find an extra £100 every month though. :undecided
I've also been looking at our loans. One ends in 4.5 years and the other in about 6 years. The one that ends first is the more expensive one monthly, and we are unable to overpay that one. The second, we ARE able to overpay and will be able to clear it in under 2 years as soon as we start overpaying it.
I'm just so sad, ashamed and frustrated that we have AT LEAST another 4 years of living like this month by month. Although I'm not feeling ready for kids yet, I'd really like to have started a family by then, but it's unaffordable, it really is. Hubby will be nearly 40 by the time we have cleared our debts, and he is so aware that he is getting older and doesn't want to be an 'old' Dad. Once we've paid the loans we then have to start building our savings up as we have hardly any.0 -
RIGHT - call me wreckless, call me rash, but I've just gone ahead and made a payment to the credit card for the paypal and Quidco amounts combined - making £114.50. I know neither are in my bank account yet, but they will be in a week or two - and we'll just have to cut corners elsewhere and manage without the extra money in the bank account! Our main financial priority is paying this damn card off as quickly as possible so that's what I'm doing! We'll cut back on groceries this month a little and watch our money closely - but at least we've paid off another big chunk of the card before we have to start paying for the sofas in 7 months - that'll be another £100 a month (interest free) to pay, which means we may have to cut back on the card overpayments then!
New credit card balance now at £3678.19.0 -
Call me wreckless, call me rash - I handed my notice in today

Ohh, I bet that felt good! What are you plans? Do you have another job lined up?0
-
I do have some definite work guaranteed but I also have a couple or irons in fires for things that I would much prefer to do so I will have to see what comes up in the next few weeks.
Today - I have had a nice day on the daily scratches. A 25p, a 10p, a £1.00 and then a £5.00 :j :j :j which enabled me to withdraw a tenner to pay towards my mint card.
On the minus side, my car needs two new tyres on the front and after my OH playing off garages against each other we have managed to get it down to £105 EACH tyre . But hey ho, I should be able to cover that from my bank account. And end of April means car tax is up too so that will take up most of the extra cash from wages. Must find some more things to ebay!Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 607 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :T

Oh I know how you feel - we had to buy a new tyre last week and it cost us £100!
Good luck with the job ideas, hope they all work out well for you. I'd love to quit my job but sadly I don't think that's ever going to be possible!
I will have to start doing the daily scratch card things too - which ones do you do?
I got over my Paypal problem of not being able to withdraw the £60 that was in my account - I spent what was in there!I bought a birthday present for my Dad out of some of it and withdrew the rest to my bank account. We'll have to just watch pennies this month - like every other month.
I've had a few invites for surveys but I really have lost the will to do them. They seem to be making them much longer for less 'points' so it's hardly worth it. I'll have to sit down and catch up with them one night when I have nothing better to do!0 -
I have an account with butlins bingo and my OH has an account with Littlewoods bingo (I think these two are the same hosting company so you have different cards registered.
And I have one with take a break bingo and OH has one too.
Obviously, it is normally me that does them but registered under separate names so they don't kick off and boot me out.
Sometimes you only get 10ps on the cards for a few days but then every now and then it gives you bigger amounts. It does take a little while to build up but it is money for nothing at the end of the day. I don't know whether it is just me, but if I get too eager and do it first thing in the morning I only ever get 10ps, when I have had £5.00 was when I have done them around lunch time - probably coincidence.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 607 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :T
