OS Daily Thursday 30th October

Hi, this is the OS Daily thread for Thurs 30th October, 2008. It is an 'over the garden fence' type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “Hi everyone, hope you are all well” type start does just as well.
Morning all,
Was surprised there wasn't a thread yet - first time I've started it for ages
Getting up shortly & off to placement - got some HM soup left in the fridge there & will rummage in the fridge to make a sandwich of some description to take too. Oldest DD had a party here last night, and am not very happy with her now as there is a lot of mess - she was too busy tripping about in her high heels to actually make any attempt to do any of the things she'd been asked (ie not have people banging the french doors shut all the time, not having everyone traipsing in & out of the garden) - so she is going to be told that my house better be spotless by the time I get home later. Hence SHE will be doing the OS tidying up jobs today....
Noah'sPennilessMummy, the Rocky Road concotion is on the end of yesterday's thread - enjoy....
((((((((hugs)))))))) for all those feeling bruised/battered, down or poorly (pet or human).
Have a good day all.

Morning Guys!
Had a rough night but OK. I cant seem to move my legs very well and everywhere hurts! Nurse is coming around 8am so need to have a shower etc before then.
WM is on as I type and the DW will be put on later. House is clean and tidy. Toilet cleaned.
Having Spagbol later with garlic bread.
Thinking of making some more soup in the next few days as Aldi have some of their veg for 39p and with me going into hospital next week, the soup will be wholesome (sp) for OH & DD. Tesco have 4 half baguettes that are part cooked for 45p ATM and have a very long date on them and they can be done lovely in the Remoska.
Hugs to all.

Morning Chums a bit nippy in North Kent at the moment.I have bunged the SC on with some stewy bits and pieces and it will be on all day.
I am off to Leeds Castle today with DD and three little grandsons ,we have a ticket that we buy every year, and in Kent once you buy the first ticket it last for a year so you can go as many times as you like .Leeds is good, as they always seem to put things on for the children during the holidays there is a puppet theatre on today, so that will keep the boys amused plus of course they love the castle I shall take some HM soup in a big flask to warm us all up and some rolls. The boys can run off some of their energy and I will take some photos for my crafting projects .I am making some calenders to post to friends who I won't get to see over Christmas and I thought some nice photos mounted on them of Kentish scenes will look nice .I am actually hoping for a little bit of frost when we are there for my photos.Leeds castle is a spectacular place anyway, proper 'castley looking' with a proper moat and everything IYKWIM.We can't stay too late as my DD has to work tonight at the Dockyard. She does the 'Ghost Walk' tours, and she is busy tonight and tomorrow with ten tours in two days.We helped to hollow out the pumpkin that she grew in the garden last night, and it is looking really good .She will do some of the Halloween stuff for the little ones before she goes to work tomorrow night. Well time I got a wriggle on Hope you all have a good day and <<hugs>> to those who are feeling down or blue.Don't forget to wrap up warm as the wind is forecast to be north today .I have my wooly hat and scarf and gloves already in my bag to keep me warm today.
Cheers JackieO0 -

Hi guys,
I've just got the eldest 2 off to nursery and enjoying a nice cup of coffee in relative peace. LO is feeling very well  and only seems to have had a mild dose so far. The other two caught it before he was born so no worries there thank goodness. Thanks too for all your good wishes for him.
The WM is on but I don't think the washing will dry on the line today as it is drizzly and cold out there. The house has had a swift tidy and I plan to carry on upstairs pottering today, along with the regular 10 minute interuptions from LO for this and that.
Left over casserole for tea (doesn't it always taste better the second day) and LO and I will have beans on toast for lunch.
Snowy, how is Dylan today?
Gentle hugs to Betheebee (and congratulations  ) also Gentle hugs to Pen-pin and all in need of one today.
Welcome to new posters.
Have a good one everyone,

Good morning everyone,
Two days in a row!!! Won't last, I can promise you.I'm up early as I forgot to put the bin and food waste container out last night. Still, I had a great sleep last night so feel quite good today.
DS finished painting my very high wall on the staircase and it looks fab! The colour ("box tree" by Crown) looks great and I can't wait to get the rest of the walls painted to see the contrast. Just need to make sure I have enough Ivory Cream to do the rest of the walls now.
Today I need to make the lasagne that DS loves. The recipe is in a book that ASDA put together made up of customer's own recipes (and I was given a free copy :j very OS). Needless to say it was a recipe handed down by an Italian grandmother so it is really flavoursome but takes a while to make. As well as the lasagne I have to use up some sweet potatoes and butternut squash so I feel some roasted veg and some soup coming on.
Squiggly the Rocky Road went down very well last night - even after birthday cake! :rolleyes:But there is enough left over to last today and tomorrow (in theory
). I can see this becoming a regular request from DS and DD.
Hello and welcome to Teaparty Mum and any other newbies I have missed. :hello:
I ordered DD's ipod nano that she wants for Christmas from Mr T yesterday (with a £9 off a £90 spend discount code from the discounts and vouchers forum :j ) so DD and I will be driving over to Blackpool to collect it tomorrow. I can't believe how well organised I am for Christmas this year. I'm beginning to convince myself that I *must* have missed something very, very important.
Well, the BM won't fill itself and I need tea so have a thrilling Thursday everyone. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."
