Morning all who are up & all who follow.
Lazy morning so far, DH gone to work, baby & I just had breakfast, going to town soon to pay bills & do a bit of Christmas shopping, DS3 still in bed (well, it's half term from college & he is 16!). Making Christmas cake today & gingerbread biccies for Hallowe'en, got a pumpkin cutter to use. Also need to finish dejunking front room - we've had no sofas since April  & are going to Ikea on Sunday, but DH has kept moaning about the state of the room, i.e. no actual space for sofas as we've spread out our junk!
Less cold today, so WM on to peg out before I set off. Tea not christened yet, but loads of veg to use, so will see what reduced meat I can find & make some sort of casserole.
Getting hard to type with baby fiddling, so see you all later - PP good luck with op & cuddles if you & anyone else needs them! :grouphug: :kisses3:

Yesterday there was a lovely linky to a site called 'What's Cooking Grandma'. I've just watched a 'spiced bread' recipe from Memee (grandma) Denise. I will be making it \t the weekend as I have no honey.

    http://whatscookinggrandma.humanbeans.net/recipes/from/france

I've spent a bit of time in France and had a lot of contact with French children. Grandma is usually an important part of their lives and it is rare to find a child who does not love and respect their grandparents. Also, they have a lot of contact with their Godmother it is clearly not something done lightly. (not necessarily religious, more like a close aunty.)

Thanks for this link - I'm just off to explore some more.

Love to everyone this morning. :A

    Morning all

Not a good morning here, a friends' dog went missing last night after being frightened by a firework, and hasn't come home, so we have been out looking for her, but no sign :o When will the Government ban fireworks, organised displays are fine, but why do we have to have them in the shops for weeks before

No work today, so might have a go at making some bread in the Remska, and as it is OHs birthday, will make something he likes for dinner.

Apart from that, just some general sorting and Ebaying

Have a good day everyone x

Edited to say, just had a phone call, my friends dog has turned up at the local dogs home. I still think they should ban fireworks though

    Morning everyone

I'm off work now till aweek on Monday. The plan is to get some decluttering done and winterise the house.

I've just put the SC on with sausage casserole in it for lunch and I'm going to make some soup with the contents of the fridge in abit. I'm sure that the washer and dryer will be on at some point. Its annoying me that I have to use the dryer but with one room down in the house I havent got room to put up the maiden.

    Have a good day everyone

    Moany - I've made the parkin from "what's cooking" - it's fab!:D

Cold here but no snow - boo hiss....... Been very busy e-baying over the last few days - now have over 50 items listed and will be trying to list another dozen or so today. Apart from that continuing to work at home (hurrah!) and loving every minute:dance: . WM going on later with Mr Rage's football gear in it. However, I am very sad that David Tennant is leaving Dr Who. I wanted him to stay forever. I hope Capt Jack doesn't go anywhere from Torchwood <exits stage left crying into her coffee.....>
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

    Good Morning All

Charlies_mum - hope your friend finds their dog asap.

(((hugs))) to anyone who needs one.

Not a good day here either - the wm has stopped working - just out of guarentee as well. Am waiting for 9am then will ring local repair man and fingers crossed it can be easily fixed.

Wont be able to settle until then. Not much else planned today. Just off now to go and get that Rocky Road recipe and have a look around for a nice spicy pumpkin soup recipe.

Chicken stir fry tonight, must get some more soy sauce though.

    Happy 40th, Rage! :bdaycake:
I was 40 earlier this year & everyone kept asking if I was sad/depressed about it, but can't say I was. Having a baby, who was 1 the week after, seems to make stuff like that seem unimportant!

Congratulations on your anniversay for Sunday Betheebee:
Glad - Snow:eek: so near and yet so far eh:D hope you enjoy your day off tomorrow when they sorting the tree out?
Charlies mum hope your friends dog turns up ok - my dog used to hide and shake hours after one firework

Thanks Pen Peng for your response re the lasagne - I made it with natural yoghurt instead of craime fraiche and it worked fine. It wasnt exactly your normal lasagne anyway (surprise surprise ) it was made with chilli and tortilla wraps instead of pasta sheets. Recipe was on the back of the tortilla wraps and it was fab:j :j

Will probably snaffle the remaining chilli today its always nicer on day 2.

    Hope Dylan is ok Snowy
