I wish they would call to my door! Myself and OH went to ASDA earlier on and bought loads of fun size bars and sweets. There is no sign of anyone yet??? If they don't come I'll be as big as a house eating all the chocolate!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Two of my kids have just come back with a massive haul of sweets, satsumas and reports of homemade cakes, which they've already eaten.
We've had a steady trickle of callers all night. Most had made very little effort to dress up though. My kids are looking great in their homemade outfits, my oldest decided to dress up as Amy Winehouse and has got the look exactly, it's scary!
Glad you're feeling more cheerful today, icka.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
I don't think you were being grumpy icka. You were offering down to earth, constructive opinions.
I'd already contributed to the thread beforehand and I think that (looking at Glen's other posts) the issue that is worrying him is the lifestyle his wife is having problems with breaking away from leading. Yes, his spend figures were     and even after cutting back were still _pale_ as they are on quite a low income, but the cuts made already were a great start.
I would like to see Glen come back to his original thread (hi Glen if you read this) just to let us know if we were in the right area of suggestions and if not, we can always come up with loads more

It's strange isn't it! Last year we only had one or two call, this year six! We also bought fun size chocolates from Sainsburys today for them. Made the mistake one year of giving money, had loads of callers that year & it cost me over a tenner:eek: :rotfl: !Debt at LBM(July 1st 07)-£35,053.92 Debt on 1st Anniversary of LBM(July 1st 08)-£33,170.11 (31st January 09)-£32,318.73Paid off so far £2,735.19(7.8%) Average paid off p.m. £143.95 L/H supporter 115 DFD target February 2018 DFD March 2028. Have had about 10 different sets of kids
So funny when the older ones are too big or too cool to dress up and they come"to bring their younger kid brother or sister". So they stand in their school uniform, but yet they still have their plastic bag to get treats so funny.
Went to Lidl on the way home and got loads of crap all dirt cheap, i don't think their parents are going to be loving me tomorrow all that sugar  .
I can hear the bangers go off out side my window, a little scared to be honest. such a big girls blouse

We've had loads the last couple of years, but none tonight. I think it's the rain... I just wish I hadn't bought a big tin of Quality Street in expectation of loads of them!Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0
