Well just catching up and Civil Enforcement did cancel their PCN after about 12 letters from me - and NO I still do not understand the DO NOT POST FOLLOW-UP's HERE follow this random link instead. It probably makes sense to those posting it but google keeps bringing me here and all the random links and CAPS don't actually help anyone!

Yes I can see it hasn't helped you not posting on here . There's a very good reason why we ask for people not to post here, like it will be a very good reason not to help you future. Still you know best !!
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Well done on pursuing things to a successful conclusion.

The reason we ask for old threads not to be resurrected is because of their age (this one started almost 6 years ago and much has changed), information/advice can often be wrong for present day situations.

As I understand it, MSE won't lock threads, but all threads have a shelf life before they expire and disappear into the ether. By resurrecting one (which could have been just one day from disappearing for good) it has a new date (today) from which its new shelf life commences, guaranteeing it will be here for x number of more years. It is also likely to push it up the Google list and will guarantee another search pulls it up, a motorist opens it, posts on it ....... and we're back to square one again.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Stroma, I would have sent this by DM but it's not allowed, I don't want to get into a public argument - this thread allows posts and is the top in my google searches and gave advice that I used and it worked - the other time I've used MSE it was very useful (well one person knew what they were talking about). I will continue to find it difficult to understand why this thread is not permanantly closed if no new posts are desired as well as not redirecting based on the original thread (I know it's old but redirecting to a thread describing how the company is operating now is surely better).

SYSOPS please forward this as a PM and delete from thread.

This thread is SIX YEARS OLD for God's sake, how can you possibly think it is an appropriate place to post now? MSE has no control over where Google sends you, it's down to you to get to grips with how the forum works before you post. Blaming Google is like blaming your sat nav because you disengaged your brain and drove off a cliff.

Then why did you clearly confirm that you had read and understood the posting guide and rules on signup...?

The reasons for not bumping old/out of date/dead threads are amply explained there - along with your agreement not to!

And the links you have been offered are anything but random - which is why you were pointed at them.

The !!!!!'s carrying-on via PMs now. Clearly a selfish sort who has no care for helping anyone other than themselves.

Or worse - Deliberately trying to mislead...?

That's why mine only is for my contacts only, you can add people to the contacts list for that, then just change the settings in your private messages to accept contacts only. It works for me
