The advice is the same regardless of the parking company, please create a new thread on the link above to discuss what concerns you. This then will be a current thread instead of this one which has old information on and in some ways it can be detrimental
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

THe link to the current forum gives you dozens of current threads! Do you know how to read the current threads on a forum? We have shown you them so I do not understand the problem. You DO NOT need a specific thread about Civil Enforcement, it doesn't matter which scammer issued your fake PCN.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

And as this thread is 5 years old some of the advice may have changed in all that time, with that there are more cases and more experience gained.

A google search shows hundreds of threads across here and pepipoo, a lot with current info, no idea why a 5 year old thread is the one chosen.

  • Don't pay. Just ignore them. They will send threatening letters for about 6 months then give up. The important thing to remember is , you don't owe them a penny unless they take you to court and win, and they never take people to court because their case is too weak. They just try to scare people into paying. They have no right to send a bailiff round or to refer to you as a 'debtor' unless a court decides in their favour. I had a PCN from a similar company, G24, 3 years ago and never paid it.

my husband has just received a parking fine from civil enforcement ltd stating he was over time for parking, they say he parked at 13.26.23 and left at 14.30.38 yet we still have our parking ticket stating that we paid for 2 hours parking from 13.31 until 15.31 so how does that work so they are trying to fine us for parking for 1 hr 4 mins,do we ignore this like everyone on here is saying or do we send a letter of appeal (thats if we can find appeals adress as they say its on the back of all there tickets and its not on ours)

Please look at the post above yours and start your own thread. One point of correction - this is not a fine, it's an invoice.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
  • Interesting to read this thread. My fianc!e and her family visited Whitby in North Yorkshire 2 weeks ago and I have just received a PCN from these clowns. I had already decided to ignore them but the car park in question is attached to a local superstore, and I am an employee of another branch. This chain prides itself on its ethical approach to consumer matters so I am looking forward to a conversation with an opposite number to determine why they are having anything to do with CEL. According to my mother she paid for a ticket and received a partial refund instore after having spent a certain amount, but insists no rules were broken. I will not be paying CEL any amount they demand in a month of Sundays but I think it could be interesting to look into this and will let you know what I find out:beer: haha!
