As recommended by this site I sent them back the I was not driving letter and I was not going to pay.I have since received a second letter from them threatening me with a Norwich Pharmacal Order if I do not pay or reveal the drivers details also threatening court action. I have now sent them back the second letter from moneysavers and awaiting the reply.
Does anyone know where you stand with the Norwich Pharmacal Order.
No, you haven't received a fine! You've had a demand from a private company, it's rubbish.
Stop sending the ancient standard letters in Martin's article and start listening to the forum members who post here daily to tell people NOT to send ANY letters. The forum is up to date with current advice, you are in the right place now. Whole forum view linked here, read the stickies, watch the Watchdog youtube clip, gen up on the standard letters you will receive (pics of all letters are on our sticky top threads):

They won't pay for a Pharmacal Order. They threaten all sorts, CCJs and all. Nothing happens.
Ignore the whole thing. Ignore all further letters, even from debt collectors, in the absence of sealed Court papers (ignore a threat of Court, that's par for the course)..PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

If they did pay out the substantial (to them at their risk) cost of attempting to obtain a Norwich Pharmacal order, it would likely take the claim out of the small claims track, and be a very risky (for them) gamble. If they get a clued up Judge they could be spanked hard and end up severely out of pocket, as the NP would be disproportionate to the sums involved, pennies rather than thousands.0 -
Cheers for the information it is what I thought but nice to have it confirmed by ones in the know.
If the letters are ancient is there no way of getting them removed from the site ?
Will keep posting updates of situation on this forum.0 -

I believe people have asked for them to be removed, but for whatever reason they remain.
As others have been pointed out they should not be used as no contact with a PPC is the best course of action.0 -
Yes the std Brand MSE advice is seen by many on here as merely prolonging the hassle that you suffer.
However Brand MSE cannot be seen to be giving advice that is ...er don't know how to put it but basically MSE is wrong and we're right.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Advice that might openly invite the ppc to litigate against MSE for restraint of their trade contrary to some obscure section of an EU Treaty possibly? Libel?0 -
I received a " fine " from these clowns about 2 years ago. I dropped my wife of in the morning and picked her up about 5 hrs later. conveniently the camera only registered my early entry and late exit from the rivergate in Irvine.
I initially called a few times to explain their error and was asked for £10 to check the photos. I politely suggested they go away and ignored all further correspondance and threats,
The debt collecting agency is also listed at the same address and is owned by CEL as a way of intimidating those less aware of such firms.
Please do not pay these people any money. the notice is simply an invitation to pay them and will not be enforced in Scotland.0 -
Good post This example shows why 'evidence' from ANPR cameras is not reliable. Yet another reasons why PPCs stay away from court.Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0

I would like someone to do a investigation into this particular ppc maybe someone from the MSE team - they are supposed to be investigative journalists, Roger Cook doesn't seem to be around any more.
Find out just how much of the "fines" go back to the supermarket - if anything? Perhaps it works by Civil enforcement setting up all the cctv and then guaranteeing that the supermarket car parks don't get abused by overstaying customers. Yet supposedly they keep the "fine" revenue.
I know a lady that despite me showing her the various write ups here actually paid the charge for allegedly overstaying in co op car park. She says she wasn't there as long as they claimed but was so worried and intimidated that she paid. And you know the truth there are many that do just that.0 -
BBC Watchdog has done 2 pieces on PPCs in the last 6 months or so, they have shown that these invoices are unenforceable and the best thing to do with the letter is to make paper aeroplanes out of them.
The advice on here, pepipoo and CAG and various other sites is to ignore the PPC, their so called debt collectors and solicitors, they will not take you to court, they will not effect your credit rating and they will not send the boys around!
As for investigating them, they are all the same, a bunch of scamming cheating cowboys, they lie and try to intimidate their victims, they are all a bunch of chancers who know no low, if you to drive these people out complain to the retailers, landlords and your MP complain often and encourage everyone you know to the same!
The business is unregulated, meaning they do whatever they like just like the clamping scum who is being banned shortly!Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0
