just put the full link into a post and remove the http:// bit. modern browsers will put it back in.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Sorry, as a " new " member, I still can't post links, even if I remove the http bit.
Thanks for suggestion though0 -

Had a similar ticket from civil ripoff Ltd back in June. Blanked it completely just used it as shredded bedding for my Birds..
Has anyone else noticed the paper and layout style both Civil Enforcement Ltd AND Newlyn PLC use ? They use EXACTLY the same paper quality which is notable as its quite a different paper than 99% of companies use its more glossy and better quality. Also their layout and use of wording and the absence of the words court summons, a criminal offense etc obviously they are probably linked in some way there too. Bunch of scaremongering clowns.
Anyway Newlyn PLC have just sent their first demand for £208 and guess what ? Yup ive shredded that one as well
IGNORE AND DONT RESPOND IN ANY WAY. They say theres one born every minute, please don't be one of them.Sleep easy and pay them no more mind.0 -

Dear Sir / Madam
Hurlingham Retail Park, London
I am writing to make the following representations regarding the above PCN. It was a great shock to receive it. I had no idea what parking rules I could have contravened. I never had a problem parking there before.
As I am about to go away for a period I am unable to re-visit the car park to check the signage referred to. On checking on the internet about the car park my belief that parking is free for customers is confirmed. This is what I found today:
Hurlingham Retail Park. Customers only. Free. Store purchase required.
There must be some mistake as I did not park for that duration in that car park that day. I parked to visit Currys for a specific reason. I was coming to the end of shopping around for XXXXX having been to the same branch of Currys on 22/8/10 to look at the F/Fs (when I also purchased other items to the value of £XX).
On 12/09/2010 I went back to Currys to look again at the F/Fs in order to come to a final decision. As a result I chose to buy a F/F from Currys, paying £XXX for it next day, 13/09/2010. On the 12/09 I again purchased another item in the shop for £XX. That comes to a total expenditure in Currys of £XXX since 22/08/2010 as a result of my visits to that branch and using the car park (please see copies of receipts)-.
I am a loyal customer of the company, having purchased many items including other high value products such as laptop worth nearly £XXX not long ago.
On the grounds that I parked in the car park for a limited time and purposefully prior to making a high value purchase at Currys; had no idea that I contravened parking rules, having been to this car park many previous times; and am a loyal Currys customer, I am respectfully requesting cancellation of this PCN.0 -
Newlyn PLC just sent the second request for £208 in 7 days, court summons threat this time, in the bin like all the rest.0

You should frame that.
Do you realise you are the ONLY person we have EVER seen post an acceptance from a PPC following an 'appeal'. You obviously didn't realise the appeals process of PPCs is generally a complete sham and they refuse everything unless pressured by the retailer.
Let me guess, did you copy in Curry's to this letter? That's the only rational explanation for PPC scammers actually letting someone off their protection racket demand for money.
Either that or the BPA has asked it's esteemed(!) members to collect together some proof they really can play nicely, to try to convince Norman Baker that some appeals really are considered.
Yours will be CE's one and only allowed appeal this year. You are a one-off.
But...you could have just ignored them and their threats you know...:DPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hahaha I missed that! :rotfl:
They don't even know the meaning or spelling of the word they really wanted - 'representations' even though they are trying their hardest to come across as an 'appeals service' similar to a Council.
You couldn't make it up could you?!
PPC staff are soooo thick it's no wonder they can't get a real job.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
