And clamping on private land in Scotland is illegal. I wish our government had the balls to regulate this entire area and make what amounts to little more than extortion illegal once and for all.

Unfortunately they are not going to. They have completely dismissed all idea of making clamping illegal.

  • Hi all,

Have read over all your good advice, i originally got my ticket back in august last year. I did consider paying for all of 5 mins then gave myself a shake. All was quiet for a while then over last month or so have had 3 letters in succession. The last i had was from Newlyn saying they will pass my file back to CEL who may file action with county court.

Just wondering/hoping that this may be the last i hear from them, does anyone know how long it takes them to give up?

It isn't a question of them giving up. It's a question of you meeting your financial obligation and removing the need for enforcement action.

I ask you again Eric, what parking company do you work for?

To everybody else, disregard anything that this PPC troll says. It's all nonsense.

Oh please Eric, have you not yet realised that no misleading post will go unchallenged.

Though making 8 errors that mis-state reality in one sentence is quite a feat and I salute you for that.

Parking Eric (or P.ERky) really must be hurting in his extortion racket, what with having the time to post crap on here!!
  • oh dear Parking Eric, you must be lonely on your side........

Fortunately for me i won't be taking your advice but will stick with the other posters here & trading standards who told me to tell them take me to court.

So they can bring it on!

Indeed, the financial obligation which amounts to precisely nothing since any request for money is not enforceable in law.
