Have you been in touch with the commissioners office 01625 545745 or tell them you are going to court to get compo

Is that the Information Commissioners Office? I'm not sure they'd be able to get Sainsburys to stop applying interest to an account while it's in dispute?

In terms of them providing information to 3rd parties about the status of my account, I had similar problems with the Halifax a few years back when I was disputing bank charges with them. They processed a default onto my credit record despite the case having been allocated a court date. The ICO said that they were perfectly entitled to do so despite there being a recognised dispute ongoing as technically, I hadn't made any payments to clear my overdraft when requested (I was overdrawn £16 - they ended up paying me £4,000!). I don't have much confidence in the ICO or their understanding of these types of these disputes.

Given that the FOS have indicated that this matter may be getting a decision made sooner rather than later, I'm going to wait and see what their judgement is. If it's in my favour, I will certainly be sending that information to the ICO to ask them to take some sort of action against Sainsburys give that they have continued to send informatin about me to 3rd parties. (The gits that they are!).

The main thing for me is getting rid of the card in question. The figures as they stand are:

PPI premiums plus interest at 8% = £1,014.47
Interest added since case has been submitted to FOS = £176.62

    Total = £1,191.09

The present balance of the card is £1,373.39, so the bulk of the card is PPI premiums plus interest, plus the interest which has been added since this matter was passed to the FOS as a formal complaint against Sainsburys.

As an aside, the documentation provided by Sainsburys is not, in my opinion, a valid CCA either so I think there's a lot for the FOS to get their teeth into with this one!
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

I cant find any paperwork for the Freedom one but that was through first plus too eventually. I have found the payment protection cert in hubbys name. This loan is paid off now anyway, can I write to them and ask the info in a seperate letter? I have the account number of the first loan, Im wondering if there was a lump sum paid there too and we only had it a year.

    Hi Sarah and thank you.;)

Good to see you here as well hun.

Now okay its good they have made you an offer, but if you feel this is not right or far too low to the expected amount, you can complain to the financial ombudsman service - regarding Sky.
Do you actually know what the amount is in PPI at all hun?

Now with Capital one, was that their final response?
If not write to them again and ask them to reconsider or you will take this to the FOS.

If they have given you the final response, have they enclosed any FOS leaflets?

    Cheers hunni.;) xxx
Hi Di, well sky have just offered me £8.00 which is what i pay every month on my credit card, so no this is definately not enough and cap one basically are sayin i was covered for unemployment even tho self employed and i can go to the FO so are they fibbing when they say i was covered and they also state that they were fined. xxx I have been with cap one since 2000 so i think the owe me a couple of hundred at least.

You can write to Freedom and ask them for a copy of the agreement and send £1 for the pleasure..;) There almost certainly would have been a lump sum on it. Was the Freedom Loan before January 2005??

[Use this section for lender who has already been fined or delete]
This is due to the fact that you have been fined by the FSA for failing to treat your customers fairly when selling Payment Protection Insurance and I do not believe that my policy was sold in my best interests.

Is this correct for first plus?
