That was the senior claims manager then...

You will just have to wait now Di or they have said to call the helpline...;)

    Yep it was ??:o

I had also tried that number before and left a message, no return call either, this was the one made before the email sent November..... .

Suppose its just a matter of just waiting now then.....;)

Why is it still running if it was a single premium. Are you sure this is not just paid monthly alongside. This does not sound like front loaded premium. Can you give us a few more details please.

i say still running as we paid the loan off in 2005 but had a letter last month telling us that the insurance was about to expire.(jan 2009)

Also on the statement the PPI is printed at the opening of the account and the loan amount is higher than what we borrowed. Its not paid monthly as i would of seen it coming out of the account for the last 2 and a half years.

I wrote to the Nationwide and asked them to cancel the PPI on my loan with them, because I'm in a DMP which effectively makes the insurance useless.

They have written back to say that they will cancel the PPI if I sign my original letter and return it to them. I do not have the original letter.

    Any advice?

I don't understand what they are saying here?? Are they meaning for you to sign the letter that you sent asking them to cancel the insurance?

I have had another standard letter from M & S Money asking for four weeks to deal with my stage 2 letter, do I wait for the four weeks or contact fos as it will be eight weeks on Saturday since I sent my first letter.

    Any ideas/advice?
I would give them 2 weeks from your second letter, if you do not hear anything then I would go to the FOS. Did you contact the FOS about your Tesco ppi. I have sent them a second letter if I do not hear anything by 2 weeks I will be sending the forms off to the FOS. These companies seem to be dragging their feet, I think they are using this tactic in the hope that we will give up. Take care and let us know how you get on
