Cheers for the suggestion, Di. I hadn't thought about charging any of the GP stuff to them, but if there's a charge, I definitely will! They've picked a great year to ask about too as 2001 was the worst I've ever felt in my life and the evidence as to my medical condition from that year must be huge.

I think my medical file for 2001 must look like the Encyclopaedia Britannica (for anyone under 18 reading this, that's what us oldies used to find out information and facts before the internet!)
You're a fat wallet then too are you...:o

Nah - my Mum worked at a College so I always had the really out-of-date ones that they didn't want anymore! (Wee tefal head that I was, I spent hours pouring over them and I'm still a mine of useless information on different parts of the world.............................ok, so the info is 50 years out-of-date but, hey, how is Ceylon these days?)
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

    Not a problem hun.;)
Yes you make sure they pay, its them that wants this info.;)

If I get the chance later, I will check for any charges for requesting these, I expect if clicked in Google search it might disclose this.

Here in Wales, I think there is a charge of £15 for one insurance form, to request for the GP to fill these in...... , but we paid upfront and informed the insurance company who have added this in with the insurance money paid out for the month.;)

    Aww bless ya lol.....;) xxx

What are your reasons for making the complaint? Have you sent the letter off yet?? Who was the insurance with and was it a loan or credit card and how long ago??

If you are wanting help in making a complaint for misselling then just take a look at the link here and see what you can add and delete from the template letter. Its always best to do your own from this. There are lots of reason on there for the misselling so pick out the ones that are applicable to yours.

You then write to the firm that actually made the sale of the PPI to you if this is different from the lender and don't forget to send this recorded delivery so you always a proof and dates etc.

After that you have to give them 8 weeks for a full and final response. In this time it is usual to get a response of "sorry we sold this to you fairly" but you then respond to this and reiterate your complaint again. The next time they write they either give you a final response which you would need in order to take this complaint to the FOS or offer to settle.

Hope the FOS sort this out for you as well.
I emailed the FOS back with the copies of the attachments of the policy, but she said we still have to return the whole complaint form for this to be investigated......in who to complain to:confused: , this will be 4 times  .

Well I used a local hospital for the x ray and it can be about 10 days to 3 weeks apparently:eek: but I had my others done there (spine and chest) and they were back ok in time and its not like its a broken bone and if it were then I would use the main hospital for that.

Mine is also that many times now and I wanted to tell them not to close the complaint against FIrstplus cause I think it may end up back in their hands by Lloyds not acknowledging their part in it.

They have said they are investigating the complaint but just have to wait I suppose. I can't wait to see what they come back with.

Its all new these unfair rebates.

Its a long time to wait isn't it?

I think here its about 7-10 days, it can take longer as well at times.
So they done quite a few x-rays on you then hun?
Hope they find the problem hun.:A

Yep this is new this unfair rebate issue and I think this is why there is also problems knowing who to pursue these complaints with, the way I see it though, now that I have seen Hamilton on my ppi paperwork it is them that should deal with it, yet they said it wasn't and it was HFC......

Gonna try and eat a baked potato, back shortly.;)

I missed it again - too much to look at on here!

Should have added that today I also prepared my hardship letter and collection of documents for the FOS to, hopefully, have them assist in my claim against Sainsburys (which they originally received in blinkin' May 08). Preparing a list of my finances and highlighting any arrears I have is actually quite a sobering experience

(Most of it being Council Tax which soddin' Edinburgh Council forgot to ask for between 04-06 during two periods of me being a CTB claimant. I've been making monthly overpayments to them of £213 a month  and will be clear of it by March 16th :D which will allow me to put that money towards reducing what remaining debts I have).

NB - I realise that in having a job, my 'hardship' is nothing compared to what some people are experiencing. A large part of my debts accrued when I was out of work, so I really know true hardship and the impact it can have on your health, immediate and longer-term wealth. I feel quite bad asking to be considered a hardship in truth
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!
