Should have added that today I also prepared my hardship letter and collection of documents for the FOS to, hopefully, have them assist in my claim against Sainsburys (which they originally received in blinkin' May 08). (Most of it being Council Tax which soddin' Edinburgh Council forgot to ask for between 04-06 during two periods of me being a CTB claimant. I've been making monthly overpayments to them of £213 a month :eek: and will be clear of it by March 16th which will allow me to put that money towards reducing what remaining debts I have).

NB - I realise that in having a job, my 'hardship' is nothing compared to what some people are experiencing. A large part of my debts accrued when I was out of work, so I really know true hardship and the impact it can have on your health, immediate and longer-term wealth. I feel quite bad asking to be considered a hardship in truth

Don't know if you have Sky TV, if you have it should be repeated at 10pm on the another channel, would check which side but the guys are watching TV right now.....:rolleyes: .

Bl**dy Countil tax........:mad: , my sister had big problems with these and they messed her about terrible as well.

Hi Trojan.;)

Sorry I have not read through all the other posts properly but the company has to repay you EVERYTHING of the PPI, plus interest.
They have to put you back in the position as if you did not have PPI.

Have you not cancelled the PPI then hun, if its no use to you?

I think you need to request a breakdown of how they have worked this out and also was this through the FOS or just your letter..? did you ask them for the 8% statutory interest to be added as well. Have you received any payment back yet??

If you then post up the figures on here I can perhaps try to help a bit more. Your loan should reduce if they are refunding the PPI as missold and also you should have a payment for all the PPI already paid to them.

Done a bit of checking on Companies house about Essex County loans, because last time checked it did not reveal they were not active but now they do, here:

It may be that your new loan is redone at a higher APR and this is not what they should do. They should redo the loan at the same or lower APR and refund you (if this is missold!) all the PPI and interest and also the statutory interest as you were deprived of the monies. Wait now to see what they get back with and post up on here. It is confusing sometimes and you would still be able to go to the FOS if they have messed up on this. Don't worry yourself about it for now. Just wait for them to get back.

Wow, they told you that then DI... I would be very annoyed at that. Can you not get someone higher to look into this for you??

Yes they did tell me, and I was not happy, I was not feeling amazing yesterday either so their reply did not help, I will add paste and copy it on here now.
