    Hi all - got a response to my second letter to Egg. They have said they would need evidence of my pre-existing medical claim at the time of sale in order to be able to consider that it was mis-sold. Not a problem at all! In 2001 I had really bad panic disorder and depression and was undergoing medication to help with this as well as a course of counselling prescribed by my GP. Will arrange to go and see the GP to get the necessary documentation and hopefully with that info, Egg will see the error of their ways! I don't really see that they could deny that the product was irrelevant to me really.
    Hi Bathgatebuyer

    Glad this is going to get sorted for you;)

    Cheers for the suggestion, Di. I hadn't thought about charging any of the GP stuff to them, but if there's a charge, I definitely will! They've picked a great year to ask about too as 2001 was the worst I've ever felt in my life and the evidence as to my medical condition from that year must be huge.

    I think my medical file for 2001 must look like the Encyclopaedia Britannica (for anyone under 18 reading this, that's what us oldies used to find out information and facts before the internet!)

    Tee Hee very true.:rotfl::rotfl:

    i say still running as we paid the loan off in 2005 but had a letter last month telling us that the insurance was about to expire.(jan 2009)

    I see what you mean. They usually run for 5 years. It is all clear now. The cover is about to expire.

    Yes this sounds like a front loaded policy so send a letter of to them. If you have the paperwork there then just write the template letter on the Claim 1000's back red tab at top of page. Give them 8 weeks to reply. Then if you post back on here their reply and we can guide you on to the next stage. If you do not have the paperwork let us know here and we will guide you how to get a SAR.

    Good luck:D

    Went to the hospital to see my step dad last night he looks really well was all dressed, wouldn't think he had a heart attack, I'm so pleased he is a lovely man.

    He had a moderate heart attack they put a stent (i think its called) into him to open up the right artery as it was blocked.

    It's marvellous what these hosptials can do these days.

    Thanks everyone for your kind words.

    Hi Dreamer

    Glad step dad is feeling and looking better. I suppose in some ways he is now lucky in as much as they will keep an eye on him as he is now in the system, if you see what I mean.

    My back garden looks a picture. sun is out and everything is really frosty it looks so pretty. When i took kids to school this am the sun was soooo low, orange and huge.

    Anyway that is the end of my poetic moment:eek: Am now going to get on with sorting house out.:D
