I am great moving around with mine but its painful sleeping as its in the spine. I am wondering now if the shoulder is the same thing although I think its frozen shoulder. Going tomorrow to get it looked into as they say it needs further investigation. I am glad really cause when its bad its bad and then goes better in a day or two usually but this time its lasted a bit. It may be something to do with the node on my elbow as its the same arm and I have now had pain in the armpit and down the arm too to the the elbow. I have still managed to do everything though but just slower. I would no way be able to sit and let others do all the work. I should have gone docs yesterday but did not have the time as there was too much to do. I thought that moving it would help but was told by NHS direct last night that I needed to rest it and I did for a while and must admit its a little better. I still had my other arm and still did a cooked tea for us. (veg and all that!!) ;)

Ouch painful all that..... , but like you said you need to rest it just like what the NHS said, I know sometimes it can't be helped and you have to get on with it.

I had an incident with the ex and I had my right arm in bandage for many weeks, my oldest then was a baby, I was left to get on with it, nappies as well, which was awkward but as I used to live out of the way from family and friends, I spent most time on my own with the baby, where the ex would be out boozing, I suffered tremendously in more ways than one and never want to go through all that again, put it this way I do not had a full thumb on my right hand......:o , at least I've got the other fingers thought thankfully :D;) .

Good luck tomorrow Marshallka, let us know how you get on.:A ;)

He was literally on his death bed and had no energy and they had been together 32 years and he sat up like he had a burst of energy and said "Jan I love you" and then lay down and difted away. It was perhaps the sadest time of our lives. We were so close then.

OMG that is sooooo sad...... he must have known then he was going x

If you sent them a complaint letter on 30th Oct then they only have 8 weeks to reply. Did you just call them as really you need to write again with the first letter (and send it recorded delivery as you have a proof) and give them 8 weeks for a full and final response before you can do anything else.

    Hi there
Like Marshallka says, it best to write to them and keep a copy, if you then post by recorded delivery you have some evidence of posting and proof it reached them, some companies are okay and will deal with matters verbally but they know they have to deal with it if put into writing.;)

You could always write to them about a reclaim now and tell them you spoke to them on the 30th Oct 2008 about this, where they said someone will deal with this for you, so really your complaining again but its all in writing, you may have to wait though 8 weeks as this is the time they are entitled to, if you require the reclaim template for this let us know and one of us will post up.;)

    Debt-free and Proud!
I took out a loan of £20,000 with Egg in 2006, partly to repay my credit card with them and other debts. I only got a statement about 2 months ago, and realised that the PPI on this loan is over £8,500 ... over 40% of the actual loan. Despite paying every month since, my outstanding amount is still more than the original loan amount. It just seems totally crazy and seeing that they have been fined for mis-selling, I am thinking of applying for it to be refunded and to cancel the policy altogether.

They told me that I should take out the PPI and at no time do I remember them telling me the actual amount it would cost me. I was totally shocked when I saw how much it was. Do people feel I should go ahead?

    Hi and welcome.

Blimey do you mean its the first statement/agreement you ever received ?

Yes I would complain here and reclaim if you don't want this and the way they done this.

    Check this out here:
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance

There is some useful PPI info and mis selling reasons and a template letter you can use to help you, add as much info as you can plus your own reasons, they have 8 weeks to respond in full, post by recorded delivery.

Let us know the outcome of this in order for us to help you if this is required, hopefully they will put this right for you first time, good luck.;)

    Hi there,

I just rang up A & L about a separte issue to do with my savings accoutn which they sorted but then the customer service rep asked if I wanted to get a better interest rate on the loan I took out with them. I said I was currently in dispute with A & L about this and left ti at that. she sounded very well versed and didn;t want to gte into it further with her as it's recorded. Shoudl i call back and negotiate a lower inetrest rate on the loan??? Or will effect my claim? thanks again you atre ALL so helpful I love this forum :j
