OMG Di, you always know someone that has died at a young age and then on certain days...

These are the same one's I was talking about before......as I come from big family, I am one of 8 children, and even though this is not large really, my uncle was one of 16 children and my nan one of 18 children and so on.... , I have lost 2 brother in laws at a young age, and its my nan's birthday today, she would have been 98, unfortunately she died on my sister's birthday a few years ago and my gramp on my dad's side died on my other sister's birthday.......I agree its all on occasions ...... .

Jamie my eldest was born on my autistic brother's birthday, we don't do things by halves do we? :o

    Hi di3004

My husband works as a self-employed courier so there is a lot of lifting and lugging. He's never had his back 'lock-up' like it did 18 or so years' ago and does have the occasional twinge but just gets on with the job. Some days I have seen him unable to put his socks on but he still soldiers on. He's been in this kind of work and previous to this heavy haulage for the past 28 years.

Sounds like my hubby. He has had arthritis since early twenties and has the injections and comes home in such pain and sometimes in tears with it but has always battled on. He had flu at Christmas and that kept him off for a week and they sent him home.... I was saying its the longest we have spent together since we have been together as it was the 2 weeks after the flu that his hols were. I think men are different and battle on...they need to.

I had the stage 1 once and they righted themselves but still had to go every 6 months for 3 years and then back to normal. Its still worrying and I can understand you worrying too.

Its not nice is it hun.
When hubby had a bad accident a few years ago, this is what caused his back problem, he was on crutches for many weeks and also soldered on, we had no shower room then, but I did have to help him in and out of the bath.....:o , this all happened due an explosion, he sadly lost his mate in this accident but like your hubby had to get on with it.
Hope your hubby is okay hun.;)

Hubby now still has the problems and have been told its arthritis, and of course on loads of different meds, but I bet like my hubby they find it hard to keep still all the time because they stiffen up.....

I am great moving around with mine but its painful sleeping as its in the spine. I am wondering now if the shoulder is the same thing although I think its frozen shoulder. Going tomorrow to get it looked into as they say it needs further investigation. I am glad really cause when its bad its bad and then goes better in a day or two usually but this time its lasted a bit. It may be something to do with the node on my elbow as its the same arm and I have now had pain in the armpit and down the arm too to the the elbow. I have still managed to do everything though but just slower. I would no way be able to sit and let others do all the work. I should have gone docs yesterday but did not have the time as there was too much to do. I thought that moving it would help but was told by NHS direct last night that I needed to rest it and I did for a while and must admit its a little better. I still had my other arm and still did a cooked tea for us. (veg and all that!!) ;)

He was literally on his death bed and had no energy and they had been together 32 years and he sat up like he had a burst of energy and said "Jan I love you" and then lay down and difted away. It was perhaps the sadest time of our lives. We were so close then.
