it was a shity year last year work wise, didnt help towards chrismas, but coped & got on withit. hoping new year would start well, but didnt.
i think i have every corner covered to my claim, just waiting.

Just found the letter and its 16th January. I don't know what to do as I think that Lloyds will pass this back to Firstplus and say its them and then I have to decide about cancelling my complaint against Firstplus or not... its so confusing.
Just noticed on the letter there is a new complaint number for the Lloyds one...??0 -
Hi everyone,
i wrote in november on this forum about my ppi I got duped into taking out in 2006 with Alliance & leicester. After disucssing it here I called them (they actually had a special dept set up for reclaimers!) they gave me the contact details of who i need to write to. I wrote one letter demanding they cancel my PPI immediatly (I am currently paying £229 a month instead approx £150) and the rest of my letter followed your sample letter but I used my own reasons obviously and I sent it recorded post.
On Nov 22nd I recieved first letter from them saying they are currently looking into my issues and will ahve a response asap! i recieved another letter on Dec 13th apologising for the delay but that they are still obtaining all the details. In the meantime f i want to discuss it with the case manager , heres his name and number! MEANWHILE they still haven't cancelled my PPI and I am still paying the full whack of £229 a month.
Please advise on how I should proceed. Shall i wait for their full response or call the case manager up. I'm just still not sure of my rights. AND how do i get them to at least cancel the PPi off my loan (and hopefully refund at a later date)0 -

thanks for help & advice & kind words x0 -
It does no harm to call the case manager, I did this a lot with Mint as they took over 8 weeks he should also put you in touch with someone to cancel the PPI.DS1 12/10/04

If you did and they have not then I would write to the OFT and FSA about them not treating you fair.
You cancelling the PPI should not affect your claim for misselling at all. You first need to write to them enclosing whatever you have written to the FSA and OFT. This may shift them to cancelling quick. Then as its over 8 weeks since first complaining you can actually take this to the FOS now and also tell them about you asking to cancel and they will not. They should be allowed 8 weeks from your first letter for a full and final response.0 -

Hi All Hope you are all OK
I know this is not PPI related but I have just made a Tikka Masala? and it is so hot:eek::eek:. What can I do to calm it down. Have not added cream yet so suppose this may make a difference. Any help:mad:0 -
