Di and Dreamer read this quick from thisismoney

It is true that if you bought your policy before 31 January 2005, then the seller may not have been regulated by the FSA. It is only companies that are regulated more widely by the FSA – banks, building societies, insurance companies – that will have been covered by the FSA before then.
If the seller was an insurance broker or some other seller, such as a car dealership selling PPI alongside finance agreements, then the sale of PPI would not have been regulated before January 2005. But you may still complain to the FOS about PPI sold before then if the complaint is about a claim - where the policy does not pay out when you think it should do.
In this case it is the underwriters - the insurance company deciding your claim – that you are complaining about and these companies will have been regulated.
You may even be able to claim that a policy sold before 31 January 2005 had been mis-sold if you can show that the terms of the policy contract were unfair – again it would be the underlying insurer that you would complain against..
The best advice is to call the FOS helpline on 0845 080 1800 to find out if you have a case.

Hi lalina
Please check out the link here which will give you further info on issues of ppi mis selling:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance
Check it out where you may find lots of reasons of why you were mis sold, due to this get a letter in, there is also a template you can use to help you, but obviously add your own reasons on the letter.
They have 8 weeks to respond, and if unsuccessful another letter can be sent in order for them to reconsider, if still unsuccessful you can take your complaint to the financial ombudsman service.
If you post up the outcome of this we can help guide you to the next step.
Post your reclaim letter by recorded post to keep a check on the dates of 8 weeks.
Good luck
Di.
Many thanks Di and you too max DP ! will have a look at this now and keep ypu posted. :j0 -

Will try them, but the only problem I have here now is that Endeavour to where I normally address to are in Birmingham now, not in Bracknell, I believe its HFC that deals with these complaints now because the final letter from Endeavour about the unfair rebate was from the manager addressed at HFC, I could always ask them I suppose, and am surprised they did not add the copy in within the SAR as I requested for absolutely everything they had on me.....not unless again this has to be asked for separately???
Even when I complained to them about the mis selling in the first place about insurance, even though it was not them I should have pursued this through anyway, but that was when I then wrote to the brokers Click, I am surprised the insurance agreement wasn't sent from Endeavour then? The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
