Right, the agreements ticks "Homemaker" then:
Net pay per month, it was one hundred and something, this was crossed out and rounded off to £200 per month.

Then a automated tick on the unemployment benefits for Asset Payment Protection to protect the payments.......

I think what they have done is made this look like you were earning this amount and it should not have been down as income at all. Child Benefit is not "income" of sorts and although they have put the £200 down they have made it look like "earned" income..

This could be a your word against theirs here Di and they could have said you said you actually earned this £200 cause that is what they have made it look like..

You could still be classed as a homemaker and earn a little too.

They should know being a Homemaker you do not earn, I did explain the benefits to the adjudicator and he would also see where the first amount was crossed out and where they added the £200, but being a homemaker there is no works earnings.

Just had a closer look at the agreement, there is a questions like:

Nature of business, this is left blank

Telephone number of business - blank

Your Gross Annual Income - Blank

    Spouses Annual Income - Blank

Maybe this is the further issues the Adjudicator is on about is waiting for, don't know.

If they have put it as earned income then it is stating "earned" and child benefit is not earned income, in fact its income for you to raise your child and not really anything to do with you so I think that the person who sold the card etc has in actual fact made out you were a homemaker earning a little (£200 per month) and this could be the problem.

Has the adjudicator not got back at all yet Di??

I would now ask him where the problem lies as you had no income whatsoever and were just a homemaker and they filled in the form for you from questions they asked. Just another example of why you cannot trust these people writing anything for you..

I do get carer's allowance, this is means tested but didn't start getting this until last year.

Can't remember what is was a month in 2001 for CB for 2 children, but I know it was hundred and something, only just about see the 1 underneath the £200, but defo not working..or earning anything.

Thanks hun, yes I see your point, should I email him again and mention this?
I have not heard nothing yet, I have even left phone messages.....

Saying that I did actually mention that they rounded the amount to £200 themselves due to the other amount which was less that was originally put down, you can just about see this, well the number 1 anyway, but maybe worth just mentioning it again just in case perhaps?

You need to speak to the adjudicator and see what the hold up is as this should be a cut and dried case of misselling here unless they are saying you did have income that was protected... .
